Warcraft Mega Bloks Flying Machine In-Progress Build Photo Preview

I needed a short breather after the extensive, arduous review of the Goblin Zeppelin Ambush I wrote last week, but I’m fully recharged now and ready to build some more Mega Bloks!Today I unboxed and started (and finished!) construction on the last of the four mounts I haven’t talked about yet, the World of Warcraft Mega Bloks Flying Machine 91018…

I’ll forgo discussing Flint the Gnome Rogue figure in this photo preview and save that for the review, while focusing in on the actual construction of the World of Warcraft Mega Bloks Flying Machine in this article.

I wouldn’t call this a “challenging” build or anything, but the Flying Machine mount is composed of 90 pieces, which is more pieces than the Swift Wyvern and the Goblin Trike combined!

The first step of the assembly of the Flying Machine is actually just a little bit tricky, as you’re setting up nearly a dozen pieces that will begin to form the body of the aircraft.

As time goes on, we build more and more pieces onto the body section we set up way back in step 1…

…including adding on this stylish red and yellow propeller…
…followed by this system of exhaust ports…

…and then some wings and storage bags on the side of the Flying Machine.

A Flying Machine without the capability of standing up (or landing) is pretty silly, so we add the ski-like “legs” to the craft, making it finally able to stand upright unassisted.

One propeller on the front is obviously not enough to keep the Flying Machine in the air, so we need to build a gigantic top propeller to do most of the heavy lifting...

…and to be safe, we had better add another pair of propellers to the front of the Flying Machine. Just in case.

And in about 15 minutes of building (10 minutes if you’re faster than I am!), the Mega Bloks Warcraft Flying Machine is complete. But is it actually any fun, or is it limited to sitting there and looking pretty? And how cool (or uncool) is that World of Warcraft Gnome Mega Bloks figure, anyway?

Get the answers to those questions and many more later this week, when I shine more of the spotlight on the World of Warcraft Mega Bloks Flying Machine 91021 in my in-depth review of the set! Look forward to it!
