There’s been a lot of talk going around this week about the “ultimate” edition of The LEGO Movie on DVD/Blu Ray, but I wanted to wait until as many facts as possible about the release came out before discussing it.

Well, we still don’t have complete details, but I think it’s time to talk about The LEGO Movie “Everything is Awesome Edition” release! The set will include The LEGO Movie is four formats and a brand-new, exclusive LEGO Vitruvius minifigure–but will the LEGO Movie Everything is Awesome edition be a store exclusive itself…?

While the LEGO Movie Super Secret Dropship 70815 isn’t the most iconic of the LEGO Movie Summer 2014 sets being released, it’s a beast of a set that includes the most diverse and unique assortment of LEGO minifigures ever–including the only accurate LEGO Movie Batman minifigure!

If there’s one LEGO set from The LEGO Movie that I was dying to buy after seeing the movie in theaters (several times, in fact), it was Benny’s Spaceship. But that set isn’t available to purchase yet. If there’s another set that I desperately wanted to own, it was Emmet’s awesome mech robot from the climax of the movie. Unfortunately, that set isn’t available yet either. However, at the American International Toy Fair in New York City this week, LEGO officially announced and revealed The LEGO Movie Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech 70814 for Summer 2014!

When I walked out of seeing The LEGO Movie for the very first time two weeks ago, I instantly wanted to head to my local LEGO Store and buy Benny’s Spaceship to take home and build–no matter what it cost! There was only one problem–the LEGO Movie Benny’s Spaceship set hadn’t been released (or even officially announced) at the time. Even so, we knew that the set was in the works, and at this week’s New York Toy Fair 2014, the LEGO Movie Benny’s Spaceship Spaceship SPACESHIP! 70816 was officially announced and revealed to the public!

Earlier this month, photos leaked out of a mysterious The LEGO Movie minifigure polybag–the LEGO Movie Radio DJ Robot minifigure! While some speculated that the LEGO Radio DJ Robo minifigure was going to be given away at theaters for movie-goers coming to see The LEGO Movie next month, it turns out that that’s not going to be the case.

The LEGO Movie Radio DJ Robot minifigure is in fact going to be a Walmart exclusive, and will only be available to collectors who purchase certain versions of the LEGO Movie video game from Walmart…
