ORIGINAL:Just in case yesterday’s first glimpse at the LEGO Gingerbread House 40139 promo set wasn’t enough to get you salivating, the first hi-res images of the other LEGO 2015 Holiday Promo set began to roll into the station! After word of the 40138 Holiday Train leaked out at the end of 2014, we waited almost nine months to see the first image of the set on the October 2015 LEGO Store Calendar. And now, just three weeks away from the LEGO Christmas Train 40138 set finally being released, the official hi-res photos have been sent out! Was it worth the wait, brick fans?

If you’ve been trembling with anticipation for the eventual debut of the 2014 LEGO Holiday Promo Set 2 of 2 (like me!), you can cease jittering, LEGO fans! While LEGO almost certainly didn’t mean to let the cat out of the bag just yet, the Polish LEGO Store accidentally shipped out the second LEGO 2014 Holiday Promo set to some customers last week. We’ve had to wait longer than I’d have liked, but at last it can be seen: the 40107 LEGO Ice Skating Exclusive Holiday Promo Set has now been revealed!

Because I am absolutely psychotic when it comes to collecting, I stayed up and ordered the 2014 LEGO Winter Village Santa’s Workshop set online the night that it became available out of some irrational fear that every LEGO Store in my area would be sold out by the time I got there in the morning. So… now I have to wait. But since I couldn’t bear not getting to at least see the LEGO Winter Village 2014 set with my own eyes on launch day, I ended up heading to the LEGO Store anyway, where LEGO Santa’s Workshop 10245 has now been released!

A late-summer not-quite-Christmas miracle occurred last week: LEGO fully-unveiled the LEGO Winter Village 2014 set–LEGO Santa’s Workshop 10245! LEGO might have liked to have kept this set a surprise, but unfortunately (for them, not us) the first photo of the LEGO Winter Village Santa’s Workshop set leaked out way back in May. That photo was pretty grainy, and I’ve been looking forward to seeing the Santa’s Workshop LEGO set in all its hi-res glory ever since–and now, I finally can! The 10245 LEGO Santa’s Workshop set has now been revealed!

I make it no secret that I am a complete and utter nut when it comes to Christmas decorations and winter-themed LEGO sets, so it will surprise absolutely nobody that I was over the moon with delight when I heard the rumor that the new 2014 LEGO Winter Village set was going to be a LEGO Santa’s Workshop set. My sources have never let me down, so I was certain that the set was real–and now there’s photo evidence to prove it! I run a LEGO news blog, so it pretty much blows my mind and drops my jaw when I walk into a local store and see a LEGO set sitting on the shelf that I know absolutely nothing about. This isn’t the kind of thing that occurs every day–in fact, it doesn’t even happen every year–but it did happen when I was at my local Target yesterday! Even crazier, it’s a set that was supposedly released last year. Coming back to a Target store near you–the LEGO Holiday Train 40034 polybag set!

Though it isn’t scheduled to be released until October 2013 for regular retail customers, the 2013 LEGO Winter Village Market 10235 is available for purchase for all LEGO VIP members! Like every year’s Winter Village LEGO set, this set is an absolute must-buy for me. Though I’m not planning on buying the set myself until next month, I couldn’t resist the temptation to see the set with my own eyes in person, so I headed over to my favorite local LEGO Store over the weekend to take some photos…

LEGO Winter Village Market 10235 Set Revealed & Photos! Carousel!

One of my absolute biggest regrets as a LEGO collector is that I never bought the LEGO Grand Carousel 10196 when it was in stores. I loved that set, but I balked at the $300 price-point and never picked one up. Now if I want one it’ll cost me over $1000, which is way out of my budget. That experience with the Grand Carousel LEGO set is what led me to always buy the LEGO Winter Village sets as soon as they hit stores each year–and with this year’s LEGO Winter Village set headlined by a carousel, it seems like everything has come full circle (no pun intended)! It’s the 2013 LEGO Winter Village Market 10235!
