We may not have even made it into the month of Halloween yet, but it looks like almost all of the Christmas-themed brick sets for the remainder of 2015 have been revealed!
The Winter Toy Shop is in stores now, the Winter Train promo will be arriving next month, and come November 1st, we’ll be able to get our hands on the LEGO Winter Fun 40124 and LEGO Santa’s Visit 40125 seasonal sets!

Those who follow the Bricks and Bloks Facebook Page know that I’ve been on something of a quest this week. No, it’s not a quest for the LEGO Jurassic World sets–stores seem to be sticking to their guns about the official May 1st release date for those sets. It’s actually some far smaller that I’ve been hunting for–something was surprisingly difficult to find in my area! But finally, I tracked one (well, actually a plethora) down last night: the 30314 LEGO Go Kart Racer set has now raced into stores!

With the not-so-well-kept secret that the LEGO The Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart set will be coming available for LEGO VIPs in just over a month, it was only a matter of time under the set was fully revealed in all its hi-res photo brick-built glory. And that time is now! Coming to LEGO Stores April 15, 2015: the LEGO Kwik-E-Mart 71016!

Despite the fact that work scheduling conflicts have prevented us from attending it more than a whopping one time, Star Wars Celebration is probably my personal favorite convention. I badly wanted to attend Star Wars Celebration Anaheim this month, but it just was not to be. I’ve been seething with jealousy over missing the Funko Star Wars exclusives for the past week, and now I’ve got one more reason to be envious: a brand new mini Star Wars Celebration Anaheim Exclusive LEGO Tatooine set has now been revealed!

There’s one more item that I saw in-person for the first time last week when I visited the LEGO Store to pick up my April 2015 LEGO Store Calendar: the LEGO Easter 2015 vignette set–Painting Easter Eggs 40121! While this is a small set with a little price tag, this item is still a big deal to many LEGO collectors out there–and the LEGO Painting Easter Eggs set is now available online for just $9.99!

For around half a year now, rumors have circulated regarding a second large LEGO The Simpsons set to be released: a LEGO Kwik-E-Mart set. As time has gone on, the number of rumors about this set increased, and then it appeared on a leaked list of 2015 LEGO Store exclusive sets. Even so, we couldn’t ultimately verify the existence of a LEGO The Kwik-E-Mart set–until now! Thanks to the first image leaking online, the LEGO Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart 71016 set has now been confirmed!

Way back in December 2014 (which feels like a lot longer than three months ago), some collectors started finding a new LEGO Ice Bear Mech polybag set at Target stores. I searched hard and long for that set for months, but it never got wide distribution–and I was seriously beginning to doubt that it ever would.
But rejoice, fellow Ice Bear Mech hunters–it’s back! The LEGO Iceklaw’s Mech 30256 set is free at Toys R Us stores this week!

I can count the number of LEGO Friends sets that I own on a single hand, which is almost unheard of for me and any multiyear LEGO theme. But I have to be honest: I just don’t like minidolls. So as you might have guessed, it takes a lot for a Friends set to impress me.
Even so, at the New York Toy Fair 2015, I was blown away by what may be the coolest addition to the theme ever: the Summer 2015 LEGO Friends Heartlake Grand Hotel 41101!

Unfortunately, my local Targets have been infuriatingly slow to complete their Easter sections: until today! Over the weekend I saw all of the LEGO Speed Champions sets in-person–but those weren’t the only new sets I got lay my eyes upon for the very first time! My local Toys R Us had put out all of the LEGO Avengers Age of Ultron sets (except the LEGO Hulkbuster Smash, which I’ve only seen for order online so far), including a set that wasn’t at the 2015 Toy Fair: LEGO The Hydra Fortress Smash 76041 with Quicksilver and Baron Strucker minifigures!

When it comes to the question of “What is the worst-kept secret in major upcoming LEGO sets?” over the past few years, my immediate answer is “the LEGO Marvel SHIELD Helicarrier”. News of the LEGO Avengers Helicarrier set’s impending arrival has spread like wildfire for months, and every day someone has asked me when it will appear. Well, finally I can give a different answer today: the LEGO S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier 76042 has now been revealed!!
