With all the LEGO leaks springing lately, LEGO is lucky it isn’t a ship–because it would be sinking! Once again, one of the upcoming LEGO Winter 2014 sets has appeared, and it’s another DC LEGO Super Heroes set! While none of the characters in this LEGO Batman set are “new” exactly, this is the sort of army-builder set many collectors have been waiting for. Coming in 2014–LEGO Batman The Penguin Face Off 76010!

The highly controversial spring 2014 LEGO Minifigures Series 13 theme is allegedly LEGO The Simpsons, so it’s not a jaw-dropper that early LEGO Homer Simpson minifigures have now leaked out for sale on the internet.

The Homer Simpson LEGO minifigure is definitely priced higher than I would pay for him right now, but it is nice that we’re finally able to get a good look at the kind of figures that will be included in next year’s LEGO Simpsons minifigures lineup…

I am unashamed to admit that I cried when Ahsoka Tano left the Jedi order at the end of Clone Wars. As you might imagine, I am a pretty big Star Wars Clone Wars fan. So while some LEGO Star Wars collectors were giddy that Clone Wars was cancelled, I was still holding out hope that we’d get a few more LEGO Clone Wars sets. And to my delight, one of the final LEGO Star Wars 2014 sets to be revealed is pure Clone Wars–it’s the 2014 LEGO Star Wars Coruscant Police Gunship 75046!

A lot of people give LEGO Legends of Chima a hard time, but I like the animal tribes concept plenty. Even so, I was getting bored after seeing crocodile-themed and wolf-themed sets all year. Luckily, LEGO is giving the LEGO Legends of Chima 2014 sets an infusion of new blood and new style with new tribes next year! And seeing the first Chima Scorpion Tribe set, the 2014 LEGO Chima Scorm’s Scorpion Stinger 70132, has remedied any malaise toward Chima that I was feeling!
