There’s so much LEGO news out there right now in the wake of last month’s New York Toy Fair 2013 that a poor collector could drown in it, so I’ve gone through and conglomerated all of the LEGO Legends of Chima Summer 2013 news in one place! Read on for the full LEGO Chima Summer 2013 set list and links to my in-depth previews for each and every major LEGO Legends of Chima set…

While many complain about LEGO rehashing the same LEGO Star Wars vehicles over and over, you can’t deny that there are vehicles that kids and collectors always, always want! One such vehicle is perhaps the most popular vehicle from the entirety of the Clone Wars, the LEGO Star Wars Republic Gunship 75021! Though its been released in full-size form twice before, in Summer 2013 the LEGO Republic Gunship is back for a much-demanded third engagement…

Sometimes LEGO will reveal an upcoming set and I’ll have to cringe and restrain myself from blurting out: “That set is gonna really bomb.” The Homing Spider Droid 75016 is one of those sets. Mainly comprised of two large previously-released droids that were unpopular the first time around, and combined with a boring selection of minifigures, this LEGO Star Wars Summer 2013 set seems destined to end up on clearance racks a year from now…

Oftentimes I’ll exaggerate and say that a company is making a toy that nobody asked for, but today I’m discussing a toy that literally nobody asked for–the Summer 2013 LEGO Star Wars Jek-14’s Stealth Starfighter 75018! No, it’s not that no one asked for poor Jek-14 because he’s unpopular–it’s because no one had ever heard of him or his starship until LEGO announced it for release! Shrouded in secrecy, Jek-14’s Stealth Starfighter is the most mysterious LEGO Star Wars set ever…

Taking a break from discussing the onslaught of LEGO Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones sets, I’m going back to the good ol’ days with a classic set from the Star Wars Original Trilogy: the 2013 LEGO Star Wars Jabba’s Sail Barge 75020! This set will complete the trilogy of newly-released Jabba-themed LEGO Star Wars sets, as they previously released a new LEGO Star Wars Jabba’s Palace in 2012 and the LEGO Star Wars Rancor Pit in early 2013. It’s also looking like this 75020 LEGO Star Wars Jabba’s Sail Barge will be my absolute-favorite LEGO Star Wars 2013 set…

The Republic AT-TE liked taking on full-size LEGO form so much, it’s decided to come back for a third engagement! One of the most-produced LEGO Star Wars vehicles is back one more time! Having already been produced twice as a mini set and twice as a full-size set prior to this year, I wasn’t sure how much room there was for improvement in the Summer 2013 LEGO Star Wars AT-TE 75019 Set. Having seen the set in its entirety, I’m still not sure… but at least it comes with an all-new Jedi Coleman Trebor minifigure…

Earlier today I posted about one of the LEGO Star Wars Summer 2013 Sets I thought might struggle at retail without a movie for support, and like many things in Star Wars… there is another. The LEGO Star Wars Duel on Geonosis 75017 is a strange set in that it gives you a speeder bike, two main minifigures and the forgettable environment that they fight in…

Now that I’ve finished up discussing all of the LEGO Chima Summer 2013 sets, I want to move onto LEGO’s biggest (by far) licensed property with the LEGO Star Wars Summer 2013 sets. We were spoiled a little bit in the lead-up to the 2013 Toy Fair in New York City, as photos leaked out of a number of the summer LEGO Star Wars sets beforehand. Luckily, LEGO still had some surprises in store for us that hadn’t been shown all over the Internet already–including this LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian 75022 set with Cyborg Darth Maul minifigure!

Previously I discussed the three more expensive LEGO Legends of Chima Summer 2013 sets (Worriz’ Combat Lair, Gorzan’s Gorilla Striker, and The Lion CHI Temple) and today I’m going to talk about the fourth and final main (boxed) LEGO Chima set coming in 2013: Eglor’s Twin Bike 70007. As you might expect from a set with “bike” in the name, Eglor’s Twin Bike is a pretty impressive motorcycle. As you might not expect, it also transforms into a wicked awesome jet…

Yesterday I talked about the biggest vehicular set in the LEGO Legends of Chima 2013 theme–Worriz’s Combat Lair 70009–but I cheated a bit, as I purposely sidestepped talking about the focus of today’s spotlight: the real largest LEGO Chima 2013 set, the Lion CHI Temple 70010! The Lion Tribe’s Lion CHI Temple was front and center in the series premier of the Legends of Chima cartoon, and it will also be the centerpiece of this year’s LEGO Chima toy collection…

LEGO Legends of Chima fans who’ve already collected the first series of sets won’t have long to wait for a new assortment of sets, as LEGO will be releasing numerous new Speedorz sets and at least four larger sets this summer. The largest and most impressive of the vehicular LEGO Chima Summer 2013 sets will belong to the Wolf Tribe, who’ll be going on the attack with the huge LEGO Chima Worriz’s Combat Lair 70009!

LEGO Star Wars collectors have been waiting a grueling two weeks since the New York Toy Fair 2013 to hear some new intel about a new LEGO Star Wars 2013 set, but the wait is finally over. At LEGOWorld Copenhagen, an all-new LEGO Star Wars set was debuted. And not just any set–a LEGO Star Wars UCS (Ultimate Collector’s Series) set: the LEGO Star Wars Red Five X-Wing Starfighter 10240! It’ll cost fans who want it a tidy sum, but not nearly as much as the original version of this LEGO Star Wars vehicle…

Just in case the first six LEGO Legends of Chima Animal Tribes weren’t enough for you, LEGO is set to release an additional two tribes in summer/fall 2013 that are sure to be a hit: the Skunk Tribe and the Fox Tribe! Joining the LEGO Chima minifigure collection later this year will be Skinnet Skunk and Furty Fox!
