Why hello there! It’s been a while, right? Although our new home still has no internet (I’m writing this post from my phone–seriously), it’s thankfully been a very slow couple of weeks for LEGO news, so I haven’t missed out on covering too much. But something finally popped up today that I definitely wanted to talk about. We’ve known about a certain promo since last winter, but hi-res photos of what’s sure to be one of the most popular free promos of 2015 have now appeared: it’s the LEGO Classic Pirates 5003082 set coming free to LEGO Stores in August 2015!

Because I wasn’t terribly thrilled with this month’s promos and I already ordered most of the March 2015 LEGO sets that I wanted online early, I almost didn’t bother to make me usual weekly trip to the LEGO Store this week. But because I really wanted that April 2015 LEGO Store Calendar, I made the trip–and go to see several sets in-person for the first time, including the awesome LEGO Pirates Chess Set 40158!

Just last night I was complaining that there hadn’t been any new LEGO sets released lately and I was going out of my mind with boredom. Well, the universe must have heard me and responded, because I woke up this morning to an absolute flood of new LEGO sets being released–almost a whole month early! Among the new sets that have popped up for sale weeks earlier than expected is one of the most beloved non-licensed themes of all-time: the LEGO 2015 Pirates sets are now available online!
