We’re just three weeks out from the grand launch of the vast majority of LEGO 2016 sets, but there’s at least one theme that I haven’t touched upon at all yet: Ninjago! As we inch ever closer to the upcoming Ninjago movie hitting theaters, the series continues in full force next year. And the Ninjago theme for the first half of 2016 is a continuation of what we saw at San Diego Comic Con 2015–Sky Pirates! And of this new wave of Sky Pirates set, there’s one that caught my attention more than any other: Jay’s Elemental Dragon 70602!

LEGO Ninjago Temple of Airjitzu Released & Photos!

I woke up this morning, looked at the date, and knew today was going to be an expensive day. Why? Because the most beautiful brick-built Oriental-style Village ever went up for sale this morning: the LEGO Ninjago Temple of Airjitzu is now available for order! (You must be logged into your LEGO VIP account to order.)

But just ordering this beauty wasn’t enough for me–I needed to see it in person! And so, I headed over to my nearest LEGO Store to take hi-res photos…

Of the six themes brought together for the first wave of LEGO Dimensions sets, there’s only one that hasn’t had its own theatrical movie released to its name: Ninjago. Even so, LEGO has big plans for Ninjago (including a theatrical movie!), and part of their plan to get everyone’s favorite ninjas into the public eye must be associating them with iconic characters like Batman, Gandalf and Marty McFly! And you can start preparing to send your ninjas up against Gollum and the Wicked Witch now, because the LEGO Dimension Ninjago sets are now available for order!

Ordinarily, the LEGO Store webmasters are right on top of things and ready to spring the next month’s LEGO Store Calendar onto us on-time each month (and usually even early). This month? Not so much. For whatever reason, the hi-res images of the April 2015 LEGO Store Calendar haven’t been posted online yet. I could only handle not having the hi-res versions of the calendar for a couple days, so I decided to head to my local LEGO Store and pick up an April 2015 LEGO Stores Calendar myself to scan in and post online, detailing all of the LEGO Store April 2015 deals, free promos and events!

Though it isn’t available for order just yet–and hasn’t turned up in stores either–we now have official confirmation and our first good look at one of this year’s Ninjago polybags. I woke up this morning to the delightful surprise of finding that all of the 2015 LEGO Pirates sets had been put up for sale early–including the flagship of the line, the Brick Bounty! But, of course, those aren’t the only Winter 2015 sets scheduled for a March 2015 release that have leaked out a tad earlier than expected! No, fans of the long-running and much-loved Ninjago theme got an early Valentine’s Day present today as well, because all of the Winter 2015 LEGO Ninjago sets are also now available for order online!

We’re just two and a half weeks from the biggest toy event of 2015: the International Toy Fair 2015 in New York City! But while the New York Toy Fair may be this year’s biggest toy show, Europe is already getting its own fair share of toy events to kick off the new year. While the 2015 Nuremberg Toy Fair in Germany won’t officially begin until tomorrow, some photos from the event are already beginning to circulate online: including several of the LEGO Ninjago 2015 sets, such as the all-new Morro Dragon and revisited Destiny’s Bounty sets!

LEGO Ninjago Brown Ninja Polybag Promo Released in the US!

I mentioned a couple days ago that the LEGO marketplace is currently engaged in a vicious struggle, with every big retailer vying for our LEGO dollars. This battle has led to ubiquitous free promo LEGO sets available over the past month or so, including the long-awaited LEGO Rocket Raccoon polybag that was free at Toys R Us at the end of November. But Toys R Us isn’t done with us (and our dollars) yet! Though it arrived internationally a couple months ago, Toys R Us USA had one more promo up their sleeve that they were holding onto: the 5002124 LEGO Ninjago Dareth vs. Nindroid polybag is now available as a free promo in the United States!

I mentioned last week that making several trips to Target is part of my daily routine since a new Target store opened up a 90 second drive from my apartment. Today was one of those days that a short drive to reach the store paid off, as I was careless on my first trip in and only took a cursory walk past the aisle. The joke was on me, as Target had an unexpected promo that I had to go back for (after it was sold out)–the Target Exclusive LEGO Minifigures set, containing a LEGO Superboy minifigure and three other figures! It’s already selling online for $40-$50, so if you want this set free, now is the time to hit Target!
