Now that I’ve completed writing up articles filled with all the news and photos of the LEGO Scooby-Doo, Jurassic World and Legends of Chima sets, I can move on and give some other popular themes the attention that their Summer 2015 sets richly deserve! Most people my age stay up partying for hours past midnight on New Year’s Eve. Me? I was in bed within five minutes of the ball dropping on TV. It sounds nuts, as the majority of the LEGO 2015 sets aren’t even available in stores yet, but now it is time to start discussing the LEGO Summer 2015 sets! First up is a theme for which the first wave of sets hasn’t even become easily acquirable in stores yet: LEGO Minecraft! The sales for the Winter 2015 LEGO Minecraft sets have been off the charts, with sets flying out of stock whenever they turn up both in stores and online. And in Summer 2015, LEGO Minecraft sets will be expanding with a new quartet of locales, including a LEGO Minecraft Dungeron and a LEGO Minecraft Nether Fortress!

From the shifting original U.S. release date for the sets to the controversy over whether the sets would be available in physical stores this year or only online, the only thing certain about the United States release of the winter 2015 LEGO Minecraft minifigure scale sets has been uncertainty. But finally, we know for sure exactly when and where the sets will first be available–because all six 2015 LEGO Minecraft sets are now available for order online!

One of the most anticipated theme extensions of 2014 is the fall expansion of the LEGO Minecraft theme. While the Minecraft theme was previously limited to micro-scale sets with tiny micro-figures, the line is shifting to the more traditional LEGO style to close out 2014. While details about the exact release date for the new Minecraft LEGO sets in the United States has been murky until now, the online LEGO Shop has now cleared things up by announcing an online release date for the theme. I woke up this morning to an unexpected surprise–a European retailer had leaked the first official photos of a pair of LEGO Minecraft sets scheduled for release in November 2014! Unlike the first four LEGO Minecraft Micro-World sets that are already available, the upcoming LEGO Minecraft sets will be in the standard LEGO size and include the first-ever LEGO Minecraft Minifigures. LEGO Minecraft is moving away from being a micro-world LEGO theme and moving into a full-on regular minifig-scaled LEGO theme in late 2014/early 2015! But before that switch happens, LEGO has one more LEGO Minecraft Micro-World set left coming up for fans of the LEGO micro-scale.

I was legitimately beginning to wonder whether or not LEGO was just going to begin shipping the long-awaited LEGO Simpsons Minifigures Series 71005 this summer without actually showing us images of the figures first, but that silly thought has now been dispelled! This morning, LEGO finally officially revealed LEGO Simpsons Minifigures photos of all sixteen figures that make up the series. Although there have only been a grand total of three entries in the LEGO Minecraft Micro-World theme, there’s no denying that it has been a wildly popular and successful theme since LEGO introduced it back in 2012. To say that the initial CUUSOO LEGO Minecraft set 21102 released last year was a smash hit would be an understatement. LEGO 21102, with its Steve and Creeper Micromob figures, was an overwhelming success for LEGO–so much so that LEGO will be releasing another pair of LEGO Minecraft sets this fall!
