LEGO must have decided that we were growing complacent, so they decided to throw us a curveball and switch things up a bit this month! While we can usually count on the next month’s LEGO Store Calendar being posted online one month and one day ahead of time, we get merely one month’s notice of the upcoming March 2015 LEGO Store deals, promos and events.

But while waiting the extra day was agony, at least LEGO has some good stuff cooked up for us on the LEGO Store March 2015 Calendar–including two free promos, some major new sets being launched–and the return of Double VIP Points!

February 2015 LEGO Store Calendar Promos, Deals & Events!

Ordinarily we have to wait until the final day of a month for LEGO to post the newest LEGO Store Calendar, but in this case, the final day of the month is also the final day of 2014! Everyone wants to have a fun and carefree final day of the year, and LEGO is apparently no exception! And so, one extra day early, the February 2015 LEGO Store calendar has now been posted!

There’s not a whole lot of surprises to sink our teeth into, but we do get confirmation of the rumored LEGO Driller promo–which turns out to be the free LEGO City Demolition Driller 30312 set!

LEGO Space is still a much-beloved and popular classic LEGO theme, despite the fact that new LEGO Space sets haven’t been produced in years. Even so, the classic LEGO Spaceman minifigure craze is having a resurgence like never before, largely due to the appearance of Benny the 1980’s-something Spaceman in The LEGO Movie. LEGO City 2014 Advent Calendar Released in Stores & Photos!

I was ecstatic over the weekend when I unwittingly ended up stumbling upon my personal favorite of the yearly LEGO Advent Calendars: the LEGO Star Wars 2014 Advent Calendar! But while that licensed sci-fi version of the calendar is my favorite, I recognize that it’s not everyone’s. And in fact, there was another 2014 LEGO Advent Calendar that was selling even better at my nearest LEGO Store–and was almost wiped out on the shelf already! The LEGO City 2014 Advent Calendar 60063 set has now been released!

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Advent Calendar Released in Stores!

After seeing the LEGO Star Wars 2014 Advent Calendar at the New York Toy Fair 2014, I came back and raved about the set–and then pined away that it would be at least six months before I could own it. Fast-forward six months plus to today, and my melodrama is finally able to come to an end! The last several weeks have been unbearably slow as far as LEGO news and releases go. I’ve literally been making trips out to the store for no reason whatsoever other than the futile hope of discovering previously unknown polybag sets just showing up in stores at random.

LEGO has really spoiled us in recent months by having the following month’s LEGO Store Calendar available promptly on the first of each month. So I felt a silly twinge of loss and disappointment yesterday when I discovered that the new July 2014 LEGO Stores calendar was in fact not yet available.

Luckily, I didn’t have to suffer wannabe-grief for very long, as the LEGO Store July 2014 calendar has now appeared! And if you’re into TMNT, it’s time to get excited–July 2014 is the biggest month ever for LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at the LEGO Store!
