The LEGO Legends of Chima Summer 2014 sets have yet to reach the shores of the United States and many other countries, but LEGO is really starting to crank things into high gear to get Chima collectors excited for the Summer 2014 LEGO Chima Fire vs. Ice theme!

Not only did we learn about the upcoming LEGO Chima Worriz’ Fire Bike polybag promo this week, but now the LEGO Sykor’s Ice Cruiser 30266 set has unexpectedly surfaced for sale online! On the bright side, LEGO 30266 looks to include an exclusive minifigure. On the downside, this set may end up being a hard-to-get exclusive itself…

Ever since it was announced last month that Europe would be getting the LEGO Legends of Chima Worriz’ Fire Bike 30265 polybag promo set as a freebie in July 2014, Chima fans have been writing me and asking if they should be worried about the set not coming to the United States. I’ve been telling them to sit tight for just a little while longer, as the set would almost certainly make it to America shortly after the UK and the rest of Europe. That faith has been rewarded–the 30265 LEGO Worriz’ Fire Bike promo polybag has now been announced for a North America release!

The last several weeks have been unbearably slow as far as LEGO news and releases go. I’ve literally been making trips out to the store for no reason whatsoever other than the futile hope of discovering previously unknown polybag sets just showing up in stores at random.

But not only are there the line-revitalizing LEGO Chima Fire vs. Ice sets to look forward to, but the highly-anticipated LEGO Legends of Chima Character Encyclopedia is now up for order! We’ve been waiting months to find out what the exclusive minifigure would be with the LEGO Chima Encyclopedia, and it does not disappoint–the Chima Phoenix Tribe LEGO Firox Minifigure has now been revealed!

While I really dug the two exclusive minifigures in that 2014 Chima set, I wasn’t bedazzled by the main vehicle component of the set. However, not only do I love the exclusive minifigures in this second LEGO Legends of Chima 2014 retailer exclusive set, but the set itself is one of my favorite Chima builds of the year!
