I know a lot of LEGO collectors (including me) are feeling pretty burned by the quartet of LEGO Superheroes Minifigures that are ultra-limited San Diego Comic Con 2013 exclusives this week. Well, prepare to feel just a little bit more anger/jealousy, because in addition to those LEGO minifigures being given out at SDCC 2013, there are two more previously unannounced exclusives being sold at the show: a LEGO The Hobbit Micro Bag End and a LEGO Star Wars Mini Jek-14 Stealth Starfighter!

Considering how many LEGO video games LEGO is cranking out each year, it shouldn’t come as a major shocker to anybody that Warner Bros. and TT Games are producing an all-new The LEGO Movie video game to coincide with The LEGO Movie film coming to theaters in 2014! Now, movie tie-in games are usually sort of mediocre, so this news may sound kind of “Ehn”. Of course, not every movie tie-in game is for a movie that features LEGO versions of Batman, Superman, NBA Players and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles…

LEGO Winter Village Market 10235 Set Revealed & Photos! Carousel!

One of my absolute biggest regrets as a LEGO collector is that I never bought the LEGO Grand Carousel 10196 when it was in stores. I loved that set, but I balked at the $300 price-point and never picked one up. Now if I want one it’ll cost me over $1000, which is way out of my budget. That experience with the Grand Carousel LEGO set is what led me to always buy the LEGO Winter Village sets as soon as they hit stores each year–and with this year’s LEGO Winter Village set headlined by a carousel, it seems like everything has come full circle (no pun intended)! It’s the 2013 LEGO Winter Village Market 10235!

I heard rumblings that the last of the new LEGO summer/fall 2013 LEGO sets had been sighted at isolated Toys R Us stores, so I roused my migraine-ridden self out of bed and drove half an hour to not the closest Toys R Us to my location, but to the Toys R Us store near me that I have the most luck finding new and exciting items at. And my pain and patience were rewarded, as my gaze was soon met with what I’ve been waiting to see for half a year: shelves freshly stocked with all of the newest LEGO sets for the final wave of 2013, including the LEGO Legends of Chima summer sets and Gorilla Tribe minifiigures!

August 2013 LEGO Monthly Mini Model Build Flamingo & BBQ Grill!
