I run a LEGO news blog, so it pretty much blows my mind and drops my jaw when I walk into a local store and see a LEGO set sitting on the shelf that I know absolutely nothing about. This isn’t the kind of thing that occurs every day–in fact, it doesn’t even happen every year–but it did happen when I was at my local Target yesterday! When I saw the LEGO Movie Metalbeard’s Duel set for the first time earlier today, I knew that the 2014 LEGO Movie sets had taken a decided turn for the weird. But little did I know just how wacky and crazy the remaining The LEGO Movie sets were going to be! Many collectors might have thought that we had seen everything when The LEGO Movie LEGO Minifigures Series 12 71003 photos were finally posted online last week, but that’s not quite true. I had a hunch that we might be seeing the 2014 LEGO Ninjago winter sets sooner than later, and LEGO has now officially verified that! The online LEGO Store has now confirmed that we will be seeing the new LEGO Ninjago sets released on December 1st, 2013–just in time to give (or receive) the best LEGO Ninjago Christmas presents! Along with that confirmation, we finally got to see clear, high-resolution images of one of the best sets from the winter Ninjago wave: the Ninjago LEGO NinjaCopter 70724!
