75089 LEGO Star Wars Geonosis Troopers Box

It was nice to have a brief respite after weeks of rapid-fire LEGO 2015 sets being revealed, but now it’s time to dig back in and continue looking at the 2015 LEGO sets coming this winter! First up, let’s take a look at one of the ever-popular LEGO Star Wars Battle Packs. Not only will we be getting a new entry in the beloved line of Clone Trooper army-builder packs next year, but the set will also include an AT-RT with an all-new gimmick: the multi-stud shooter! It’s the LEGO Star Wars 2015 Geonosis Troopers 75089 set!

LEGO 2014 Holiday Promo Set 2 Ice Skating 40107 Revealed!

40107 LEGO 2014 Holiday Promo Set 2 Ice Skating

If you’ve been trembling with anticipation for the eventual debut of the 2014 LEGO Holiday Promo Set 2 of 2 (like me!), you can cease jittering, LEGO fans! While LEGO almost certainly didn’t mean to let the cat out of the bag just yet, the Polish LEGO Store accidentally shipped out the second LEGO 2014 Holiday Promo set to some customers last week. We’ve had to wait longer than I’d have liked, but at last it can be seen: the 40107 LEGO Ice Skating Exclusive Holiday Promo Set has now been revealed!

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Anakin’s Custom Jedi Starfighter 75087!

2015 LEGO Star Wars Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter

The now-defunct Star Wars Expanded Universe lives on in LEGO form! Regardless of the fact that other companies are shying away from Star Wars stories that have been non-canonical since Disney took over, LEGO is boldly rushing forward with sets from throughout Star Wars history (and from events that have been stricken from its history!). The latest of the LEGO Star Wars 2015 sets to revisit a now extra-fictional fictional event in Star Wars history is 75087 LEGO Star Wars Anakin’s Custom Jedi Starfighter!

NYCC 2014 LEGO Bionicle Exclusive Tahu Mask (Clear) Photos!

Close-Up of New York Comic Con Bionicle Tahu Mask Exclusive Clear

I’m back from the big city, and I didn’t come back from New York Comic Con 2014 empty-handed! Although LEGO didn’t show off any new products other than the first LEGO Bionicle 2014 sets at NYCC 2014 (and didn’t bring anything to sell–period), LEGO did have one very cool item available for LEGO collectors: the NYCC 2014 LEGO Bionicle Exclusive Tahu Mask! LEGO was only giving out a few hundred clear Tahu Masks per day (resulting in the NYCC 2014 Bionicle masks selling for $40-$100 online), but I was lucky enough to snag one for my collection and to take hi-res photos of…

NYCC 2014 LEGO Booth Photos! (LEGO Bionicle 2015)

LEGO didn’t issue their usual press release advertising their presence at New York Comic Con 2014, so I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect from the NYCC 2014 LEGO booth. As it turned out, LEGO decided to forgo their usual “NYCC 2014 LEGO Store”-style booth at the show entirely, opting for a booth totally devoted to promoting the LEGO Bionicle 2015 sets and theme instead…

LEGO Rocket Raccoon Minifigure Polybag 5002145 Revealed!

LEGO Rocket Raccoon Polybag 5002145 Set

Way back in July, I was scandalized when LEGO decided to make the LEGO Rocket Raccoon Warbird set a SDCC 2014 exclusive. I wasn’t thrilled about it, but I ended up dropping $100+ for that SDCC 2014 LEGO Rocket Raccoon set so that I could have a complete Rocket Raccoon shrine (I’m not kidding). Now I somewhat regret that decision, because I overpaid by at least $95 to get that LEGO Rocket Raccoon minifigure–because a Toys R Us exclusive Rocket Raccoon polybag with the same Rocket has now turned up online!

LEGO Star Wars 2015 TIE Advanced Prototype 75082 Set Preview!

75082 TIE Advanced Prototype Box

It seems like a dozen or more new LEGO sets are being revealed every day now (because they are!), which is making it tough to keep up with the onslaught of of news. So even though it was revealed a few days ago, now, let’s stop and take a look at another one of the LEGO Star Wars 2015 sets coming our way in January. The 2015 LEGO Star Wars TIE Advanced Prototype 75082 is obviously pretty reminiscent of Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter, but not only does it has some unique design elements that actually make me like this prototype more than the final version, it has the first-ever LEGO Inquisitor Minifigure!

LEGO Elves 2014 Sets Revealed & Photos!

41076 LEGO Elves Fairan and the Crystal Hollow Set Winter 2015

When the rumors began swirling around that LEGO was planning a new LEGO Elves theme for 2015, visions immediately began to form in my head of legions of LOTR-like LEGO Elf minifigures notching their bows and preparing to do battle with the forces of evil. Now that images of the actual LEGO Elves 2015 sets have appeared, I know this this… isn’t that. In fact, there are no LEGO minifigures at all–just LEGO minidolls. But while the 2015 LEGO Elves theme isn’t what I was expecting, it’s definitely not all bad either…

LEGO Pirates 2015 Sets List & Photos Revealed!

LEGO 2015 Pirates Soldiers Outpost 70410 Box

Over the weekend I talked about the flagship of the returning LEGO Pirates 2015 sets wave–the LEGO Pirates Brick Bounty 70413–but of course, what’s a main event set without some smaller sets to populate the undercard? LEGO has five additional LEGO Pirates sets slated for the LEGO Winter 2015 sets release (including the first-ever LEGO Juniors Pirates set!), and photos of four of those sets have already popped up for pirate lovers everywhere to ogle over…

LEGO Ultra Agents 2015 Sets List & Photos Revealed!

LEGO Ultra Agents Spyclops Infiltration 70166 Box

While LEGO Ultra Agents isn’t as high-profile as other original LEGO themes such as LEGO Chima or LEGO Ninjago, and it certainly isn’t the sales juggernaut that the licensed LEGO Star Wars theme is, LEGO Ultra Agents has an indisputable niche of fans who are overjoyed to see that it’s coming back for a second year in January 2015! And while there are only five LEGO Ultra Agents Winter 2015 sets on the way, every one of them includes some fun and exciting elements…

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Sets Microfighters Series 2 Revealed!

2015 LEGO Star Wars Microfighters Series 2 Snowspeeder 75054 Box

I usually have pretty good instincts when it comes to predicting how well LEGO sets are going to sell at retail, but I was totally off the mark regarding one of the new sub-themes introduced in 2014. Not only did the LEGO Star Wars Microfighters Series 1 sets not bomb like I thought they were going to, but I even grew to like the sets myself and ended up buying them! And in January 2015, LEGO will release another half-dozen chibi-fied little Star Wars vehicles–the Microfighters Series 2 LEGO Star Wars 2015 sets have now been revealed!

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Sets T-16 Skyhopper 75081 Revealed!

75081 LEGO Star Wars 2015 T-16 Hopper Set Box

With 2015 being the first year with a Star Wars movie being released in theaters in over a decade (the Clone Wars movie absolutely does not count), most Star Wars licensees are focusing on Original Trilogy Star Wars toys and collectibles in 2015. LEGO…? Not so much. There’s only one true regular-sized LEGO Star Wars 2015 set celebrating the original trilogy, and exactly how canonical that set is is definitely up in the air: it’s the LEGO Star Wars T-16 Skyhopper 75081!

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Rebels AT-DP 75083 Set Photos Preview!

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Sets AT-DP 75083 Box

Things were looking pretty grim for the LEGO Star Wars Rebels Empire in 2014, where the total count of LEGO Star Wars Rebels set vehicles released was Rebels: 2, Empire: 0. Luckily for the Empire (and bad for civilians everywhere), the first Imperial LEGO Star Wars Rebels vehicles will be arriving as part of the LEGO Star Wars 2015 sets wave in January. And what better place to start than with a long-forgotten design abandoned from the Empire Strikes Back? Finally coming to stores this winter: it’s the LEGO Star Wars AT-DP 75083!
