There’s been a wealth of false rumors and misinformation circulating about LEGO Minifigures Series 13 71008, so I’ve been staying silent on the subject until some verifiable proof came along to support claims about the series. Well, over the course of the last few days, that proof has finally arrived!

Thanks to a couple of minifigures shown in the UK LEGO Club Magazine, as well as a leaked photo of the display stand for the series, we can now confirm the authenticity of the actual 71008 LEGO Minifigures Series 13 set coming in winter 2015!

Earlier this year, LEGO released the delightful LEGO Bike Shop & Cafe set as part of the LEGO Creator 2014 sets wave. I really liked that set, as it give consumers a chance to buy modular buildings that are trimmed down and about half the cost of the super-expensive Modular Buildings such as the LEGO Parisian Restaurant. And in winter 2015, LEGO is expanding the block with another LEGO Creator Modular building: the LEGO Toy & Grocery Shop 31036 is joining the neighborhood!

While the Minecraft theme was previously limited to micro-scale sets with tiny micro-figures, the line is shifting to the more traditional LEGO style to close out 2014. While details about the exact release date for the new Minecraft LEGO sets in the United States has been murky until now, the online LEGO Shop has now cleared things up by announcing an online release date for the theme. Let’s face it–not every vehicle in the Star Wars universe is entirely realistic. But there are some Star Wars vehicles that go beyond being a bit far-fetched to all-out ludicrous. One of these existed outside continuity for over 30 years as a Kenner toy: the Imperial Troop Transport. Astonishing everyone, Pablo Hidalgo announced at NYCC 2013 the Imperial Troop Transport would be entering the official canon as part of Rebels.
