LEGO Movie Benny Star Wars Starfighter Spaceship Teefury T-Shirt

The runaway success of The LEGO Movie earlier this year has led to LEGO being more mainstream popular than it ever has before! Not only has this led to higher sales of actual LEGO toy sets, but it’s also led to a lot of spinoff merchandise that we typically wouldn’t get–including some very fun and creative limited-edition LEGO T-Shirts throughout the year! It’s been a while since the last ones were released, but now we’ve got our chance to order two very cool LEGO Movie inspired T-Shirts until midnight tonight–the $11 “Master Builders Union” and “STARFIGHTER! LEGO Ninjago Brown Ninja Polybag Promo Released in the US!

LEGO Ninjago Dareth vs. Nindroid Polybag Set Released

I mentioned a couple days ago that the LEGO marketplace is currently engaged in a vicious struggle, with every big retailer vying for our LEGO dollars. This battle has led to ubiquitous free promo LEGO sets available over the past month or so, including the long-awaited LEGO Rocket Raccoon polybag that was free at Toys R Us at the end of November. But Toys R Us isn’t done with us (and our dollars) yet! Though it arrived internationally a couple months ago, Toys R Us USA had one more promo up their sleeve that they were holding onto: the 5002124 LEGO Ninjago Dareth vs. Nindroid polybag is now available as a free promo in the United States!

Target Exclusive LEGO Minifigures Set! LEGO Superboy!

LEGO Superboy Minifigure from Target Exclusive Minifigures Set

I mentioned last week that making several trips to Target is part of my daily routine since a new Target store opened up a 90 second drive from my apartment. Today was one of those days that a short drive to reach the store paid off, as I was careless on my first trip in and only took a cursory walk past the aisle. The joke was on me, as Target had an unexpected promo that I had to go back for (after it was sold out)–the Target Exclusive LEGO Minifigures set, containing a LEGO Superboy minifigure and three other figures! It’s already selling online for $40-$50, so if you want this set free, now is the time to hit Target!

LEGO Minifigures Series 13 71008 Fully Revealed Photos

‘Twas the night before Thanksgiving (at least for us North American folks), and I expected things to be pretty quiet on the LEGO news front. But it seems that LEGO had other ideas! Or at least, LEGO Germany did! Because earlier today, the German LEGO website temporarily uploaded images from the first LEGO 2015 catalog–including the first gorgeous, hi-res photo of LEGO Minifigures Series 13 71008! The characters in the set are exactly what we expected, but knowing their names and seeing their glory are two different things…

LEGO Simpsons Series 2 Minifigures: Snake Frink Smithers Patty!

LEGO Simpsons Minifigures Comic Book Guy and Snake Head Prototypes

Though we are likely still several months away from LEGO officially announcing the 71009 LEGO Simpsons Series 2 Minifigures collection, we already confirmed the existence of this series via prototypes discovered overseas. While the sellers putting almost unquestionably-stolen items up for sale on Taobao are absolutely to be condemned, the prototype photos that they’ve uploaded are a good source of information, as now we know an additional five minifigures that will be part of the LEGO The Simpsons Minifigures Series 2, including LEGO Comic Book Guy, Smithers and Professor Frink!

LEGO Marvel Rocket Raccoon Minifigure Polybag Review & Photos

LEGO Rocket Raccoon Polybag Review

The amount of Rocket Raccoon toys and collectibles available at retail this year is surreal to me. As a lifelong Rocket Raccoon fanboy, I never thought the day would come that any piece of Rocket Raccoon merch would show up in a retail store–much less dozens of Rocket Raccoon figures. But thanks to the success of Guardians of the Galaxy, Rocket Raccoon is now a star for eternity. And as such, he gets an honor previously reserved only for headliner Marvel characters like Thor and Iron Man–his own LEGO minifigure polybag! Is the LEGO Rocket Raccoon polybag worth your five bucks (or ten bucks if you’re buying Rocket online)?

Rocket Raccoon LEGO Marvel Minifigure Exclusive Polybag Set

The second most frequently-asked question I’ve gotten from LEGO fans this fall (after “When will the LEGO Frozen set be available?”) is “Will the LEGO Rocket Raccoon minifigure exclusive be available in the United States?” My answer has always been a reassuring “Hang tight; he’ll be here soon.”

At least, it has been up until now, as this week my answer has changed to: “Start hitting your local stores! The LEGO Marvel Rocket Raccoon minifigure has now been released in the United States!”

LEGO Mixels Series 4 2015 Red Infernites Tribe Sets Revealed!

41532 LEGO Mixels Series 4 Burnard 2015 Set Packaged

He who hesitates is lost–and sometimes that applies doubly to LEGO collectors. Many collectors (myself included) still weren’t totally sold on the Mixels concept when LEGO Mixels Series 1 was in stores, which has led to a lot of fans who got on-board later on lacking the tribes from LEGO Mixels Series 1. As a result, the LEGO Mixels Series 1 sets are selling for roughly triple their original cost on the aftermarket. For those who can’t afford those prices, though, fear not–LEGO is going to make sure that you too can have LEGO Mixels Infernites representation in your collection, as the Infernites return for the Winter 2015 LEGO Mixels Series 4!
