LEGO news is ought to be pretty slow this week (at least, I hope so, because I’m actually going to be taking a few days off later this week for the holidays, crazy as that sounds). Though we got to see our very first leaked images of the LEGO Jurassic Park dinosaurs last month via some illegally-sold toys on Taobao, LEGO has had its proverbial lips zipped about the very existence of the license. But now, finally, LEGO has published their first official image confirming the impending Jurassic World LEGO theme arriving in Summer 2015! We’re still about half a year away from seeing the sets in stores, but the official LEGO Catalog for the first half of 2015 does give us our first teaser!

LEGO has done a superb job of keeping the LEGO Marvel 2015 sets under wraps, with basically zero images of any of the sets leaking out until now (no, the teaser they put in their LEGO Designer video for the LEGO Helicarrier absolutely does not count).

But the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie is now under half a year away, and it appears that the time for secrecy is at an end! Via their own German catalog, LEGO has now revealed a half-dozen 2015 LEGO Avengers Age of Ultron sets!

LEGO Research Institute 21110 Set Back In Stock Online!

UPDATE 12/12/2014: It’s taken a few months, but the LEGO Research Institute set is now back in stock and available for order online!

Earlier this summer, LEGO announced both the name change of LEGO CUUSOO to “LEGO Ideas” and that the next fan-designed concept that would be produced would be that of the female minifigures set designed by Alatariel Elensar.

I really didn’t expect that LEGO would have the finished product ready to be shown off at all until late summer or early fall, but it appears LEGO was farther along with the set than I thought! The LEGO Research Institute 21110 set has now been fully revealed!

There’s a lot of doom and gloom swirling about in LEGO Legends of Chima fandom, as rumors have begun that 2015 could be the last year for the quasi-beloved LEGO Chima theme. Chima has been one of my surprise favorite LEGO themes since its introduction, so I would be very heartbroken to see it go if the rumors are true.
