Although I don’t pick up all–or even most–of the LEGO Mixels sets released, I make it a point to always pick up the ones that I like the best. And from the 2015 LEGO Mixels Series 4 sets, the single Mixel I liked the best was the Glowkies Tribe bat, LEGO Vampos 41534. As soon as I saw images of Vampos, I thought he was irresistible. I just don’t have the space (or money!) to buy absolutely every LEGO item that comes out that I like, so I’m forced to pick-and-choose my favorites from a lot of the LEGO themes out there. Once the Star Wars Rebels cartoon series premiered in the fall, I was instantly ready to devour any Rebels toys I could get my mitts on. Sadly, there were only two LEGO Star Wars Rebels sets in 2014–but lockout, a bunch more were ready to launch as part of the LEGO Star Wars 2015 sets!

Although the official release month for the new-for-2015 LEGO Mixels Series 4 figures sets isn’t until February 2015, I’ve become pretty accustomed to finding every Mixels series at least two-to-three weeks earlier than expected.
Thus, I would have wagered a fair bit that the Series 4 Mixels LEGO sets would appear by the third week of January–and I would have won! The LEGO 2015 Mixels Series 4 figures are now being sold by some online sellers and are trickling into stores!

I’ve gone through quite a few Star Wars phases in my life, and as such, I’ve owned just about every Star Wars vehicle every in some toy form or other. But one vehicle that I’ve never previously owned before finally claimed me for the first time this month. I ordered the new LEGO T-16 Skyhopper set as soon as it went up for order specifically because I wanted the new Tusken Raider–but to my surprise, I really like the ship itself! A lot of the time, I skip writing reviews for LEGO free promo polybag sets. They’re not composed of many pieces, there’s not much build to speak of, and there’s not much point to reviewing something that people aren’t going to pay any money for anyway. But the January 2015 LEGO AT-DP polybag is a little bit different, because even though it was originally “free”, it sold out from the LEGO Shop in two days, and now collectors have to pay ~$12 to get the 30274 LEGO AT-DP on the aftermarket. For free this set got an unquestionable recommendation, but what about if you have to pay for it…?

In case you’ve been in a self-imposed media blackout for the last two years, you may not have heard, but there’s this movie coming out in December 2015: Star Wars The Force Awakens (AKA Star Wars Episode VII). As you might imagine, it’s a pretty big deal. And as such, I don’t think anyone will be surprised to hear LEGO is planning a whole LEGO Star Wars Episode VII line of sets.
