About a week and a half, TLG stunned the brick-collecting world by posting the November 2015 LEGO Store calendar way, way early. Because of this, we got our first look at the gorgeous second 2015 Holiday promo set a bit earlier: the Gingerbread House. While I already posted an entire write-up of the LEGO Gingerbread House 40139 back then, it occurs to me now that I never talked about the LEGO Store November 2015 calendar itself! And so, let’s step back for a minute and see what TLG has lined up for us next month…
The Holiday Train AKA Christmas Train (depending upon what country you’re in) promo is scheduled to continue running from October 13th through November 13th. Even so, I’m very wary of stores running out of this Holiday Train set well ahead of the end of the promotion. Maybe TLG is ready this year for the number of folks who will want that set, but I’m not convinced…
And continuing on along the lines of sets that I hope LEGO is prepared for the demand for…
I was very surprised to see a huge advertisement for the 2015 Advent Calendars as part of next month’s calendar. I don’t know about anyone else, but by the time that November rolls around each year, my local LEGO Stores tend to be completely wiped out of their allotments of Star Wars Advent Calendar and City Advent Calendar sets.
Could it be that TLG is aware of how quickly these sell out and become hard to get and is increasing production this year to meet demand? For the sake of late shoppers (“late” as in “those who don’t buy Advent Calendars months before December like me”), let’s hope so…
While the Holiday Train will officially roll out of stores forever on November 13th, shoppers won’t have to wait very long for the next major promo to start: there’s a free exclusive LEGO 2016 Wall Calendar for all qualifying purchases of $75 or more from November 15th to December 24th (or “while supplies last”)!
TLG seemed to produce ample quantities of the wall calendars last year, and while the 2015 calendars themselves were sort of “ehn”, I did appreciate the coupons in calendar to come in for free offers and giveaways this year! Hopefully there’s some cool incentives in this year’s 2016 LEGO Calendars to keep us heading back to the Stores as well!
Luckily, we know from the photo on the front of the calendar that the Mini Model Build for November is a little shark with a hinged jaw. He looks okay, but a little creepy with no eyes.
The Shark Monthly Model Build will take place November 3rd & 4th, and kids can be registered online for the event starting October 15th. As usual, adults need not apply.
What do you think of the November 2015 Calendar, brick fans? Will you be rushing to your store next month for the Gingerbread House, the Shark Mini Monthly Model Build, and/or the free 2016 calendar? Or are you disappointed with what TLG has laid out for us for penultimate month of the year?
