October 2013 is finally upon us, and that means that we’re in for a month of Halloween candy, gross candy corn, and pumpkin-flavored everything! But before all that, the arrival of October 2013 also means something else. That’s right–the November 2013 LEGO Store Calendar is now available! Don’t get too excited, though–while November 2013 will be the second busiest month at the LEGO Stores, there’s also not all that much going on at them that we didn’t already know about…
Without even having to look at the calendar, we all know that the biggest event of the month–if not the entire year–is the annual LEGO Store Brick Friday 2013 sale! We likely won’t know exactly what’s going to be on sale and for how much off until a day or so before the event (which begins November 29, 2013), but if it’s like every other year, it’s certain to be something really great!
There’s also the opportunity to win a $1000 LEGO Store shopping spree (I certainly have never won anything like that) and an ad to visit the Official LEGO Holiday Gift Guide online (which hasn’t actually been uploaded yet–I checked). But of course, what everyone actually wants to hear about is what’s free at the LEGO Stores in November 2013…
It’s becoming tradition to offer a free LEGO Store Holiday Pick-A-Brick box each year, and 2013 will be no exception! Personally, I don’t really care for these pick-a-brick boxes–they’re cute, but nothing I particularly want to display or even keep. And hope as I might, the actual Pick-A-Brick Wall at my local LEGO Stores never really has anything on it that I need. Even so, it’s tough to complain (too much) about free! And speaking of which…
The November 2013 LEGO Monthly Mini Model Build is–for some reason–a tractor. Nothing says “holidays” like a tractor, right? Well… no. This choice doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, but at least the LEGO Tractor Monthly Mini Model Build is a festive red color?
And of course, last but definitely not least… the second LEGO Holiday Set promo will be available exclusively during the 2013 LEGO Store Brick Friday event…
LEGO is playing up this 2013 Brick Friday Holiday Set and making it sound all mysterious-like, but their efforts are for naught, seeing as how they sent out official glamour shots of the LEGO Holiday 2013 sets already.
The special promo set is actually the Holiday Christmas Tree Delivery Truck set, but let’s all try to act surprised when we see it at the LEGO Store so as not to hurt the employees’ feelings, okay? I talked about both of the LEGO 2013 Holiday Set promos last month, and you can read that post to hear me ramble on far more than you ever want to about each of this year’s LEGO Holiday sets.
And don’t forget that you can ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook to have more LEGO news, photos and updates beamed straight to your Facebook Newsfeed!
If you take a look back at the September Calendar you will see that a 12 year old designed it. Kinda cool!
Sorry talking about the Monthly Mini Model Build!! 🙂
Hmm. I was told by a lego store employee that in-store, the promos don’t stack. I will be getting the 2nd holiday model, but i’d sure like to get that pick-a-brick box too. Are they about as big as a large cup? That’s $20 of free elements…
I’m curious to see what the December calendar holds. Maybe I should place an order December 1st to get the holiday model and a December freebie. Who knows. We’ll see. ^^
