With no new LEGO sets out yet this month and the New York Toy Fair 2015 in less than one week’s time away, things have gotten pretty quiet in the LEGO news world. And so, out of desperation for something new to chat about, I headed out into the frigid New England weather tonight to visit my local LEGO Store, where I got a first-hand look at the March 2015 Mini Monthly Model Build LEGO Robot set!
Luckily, neither of those possibilities has turned out to be truth, as not only are the mini model builds continuing this year, but we’re even still getting previews of them in each month’s 2015 LEGO Store calendar!
And so, though I already knew from the March 2015 LEGO Store Calendar what the March Mini Monthly Build was going to be, I decided to go take some hi-res photos so that everyone could get a good look at what LEGO has in store for ” us”next month (with “us” being “kids ages 6-14).
Having now seen the LEGO Mini Robot in person, I have to say that it’s an excellent free promo–lots of fun and sure to be a big hit with the kiddos! I’ll be hunting down the instructions for this build myself after the event, because I really want one to hang out with my LEGO Minifigures Series Robot figures!
The March 2015 LEGO Monthly Mini Model Build will take place on Tuesday, March 3rd at 5PM. Only 250 sets will be available at each LEGO Store, so be sure you get there early if your child is digging this set!
What do you think of the LEGO Robot Mini Monthly Model Build, LEGO collectors? Will you or your family be heading to the LEGO Store on March 3rd to build this free Robot LEGO set?
I tried to take my daughter to the February mini build, but they turned her away because she’s not yet six (she’s 4-and-a-half). It was a real bummer, as LEGO are her favorite toys by far and she’s been on a big space kick lately (saying she wants to grow up to be an astronaut), so I thought it was the ideal first mini build for her. Alas. We just ended up building some minifigures at the build-a-fig table instead.
