LEGO Swamp Police Helicopter 30311 Released & Photos!

I had to go out and combat the treacherous cold last night in a mighty quest for sugar-free Rock Star energy drink (don’t ask), and my voyage brought me back to my nearest Target store. The energy drink was obtained–but more importantly, I got my first look at the new Valentine’s Day section, and the two LEGO polybags in it… including the LEGO Friends Smoothie Cart 30302 and the brand-new LEGO Swamp Police Helicopter 30311!

I hadn’t thought that the Valentine’s Day area would be up yet at my Target store (as we’re still more than a month away from Valentine’s Day), but it turns out that I was underestimating Target’s holiday merchandising. The vigilant Target team hadn’t just started to put together this year’s seasonal Valentine’s Day goodies department–they already completed it!

The Valentine’s Day section of the store was fully-built and loaded up with all of the latest seasonal toys to stick into kids’, uh… Valentine’s bags?

The most “interesting” thing I saw was definitely this display of Marvel Valentine’s Day candy cups. Nothing says “love” like some Spider-Man Brains candy, right…?

But I digress–back to LEGO. There were two LEGO polybags in the Valentine’s merchandise area, but only one of them was new. The obligatory LEGO Friends polybag was present, but the LEGO Friends Smoothie Cart is just wider distribution of a polybag that was in stores last month.

On the other hand, the other polybag in the display is literally all-new, as it’s very existence was only uncovered last week: the 30311 LEGO City Swamp Police Helicopter! I’m not a big LEGO City guy, but I think that a low-priced entry-level LEGO Swamp Police set is a great way to get new collectors interested in the theme.

The LEGO 30302 Smoothie Cart and LEGO 30311 Swamp Police Helicopter should be available at all Target stores shortly, so keep your eyes peeled if you’re keen for either of these sets! The LEGO Friends polybag retails for $3.99 for 37 pieces, while the LEGO Swamp Police Helicopter 30311 is the low price of $3.49 for 51 pieces.
