The cycle is now complete! Last fall, we began to hear about the rumored Summer 2015 LEGO Star Wars sets. In the winter, I traveled to New York City just to see and photograph them. Then I spent weeks posting previews and photos of every set. And now–finally–we can buy them. At long last, the LEGO Star Wars Summer 2015 sets are now available for order! And hey–they’ve got free shipping and no tax in most states! That’s so wizard!

With the official release date for the next batch of LEGO Star Wars 2015 sets under a month away, I’ve been checking online and in stores basically every single day to see where they’d leak out for sale first.

As it turns out, the answer is the same this year as it was last year–Amazon! That’s right–the world’s largest online retailer is also the first to post pre-orders for the summer Star Wars LEGO sets once again! There are five sets that will be officially released on 6/1/2015 at all retail locations, and all of them can now be pre-ordered through Amazon for release date (or earlier!) delivery.

As a special treat, we’re also getting our very first look at the box backs for these five sets! We weren’t allowed to rotate the boxes at the 2015 New York Toy Fair, so this is my first time getting to see the cool poses and set-ups that LEGO concocted for the back of the packaging! (And yes–I am legitimately excited about seeing the backs of the boxes. I am a dweeb and so, so proud of it.)

You’ll notice that there are several known sets missing from this list, including the hotly-anticipated LEGO Star Wars 2015 Advent Calendar and the sort-of-anticipated Constraction figures. Those should all arrive in Fall 2015 (likely right around the official 9/4/15 release date for Episode VII merch!). But for the next few months, we’re going to bask in the glory of this quintet of new sets!

The LEGO Star Wars Summer 2015 sets are now available for order, and will be officially released on June 1st 2015. Even so, Amazon frequently breaks street dates, and I ended up receiving my summer sets last year well before the release date. I’ve had pretty good luck with getting sets early that way in the past, so I’m hoping that the trend will continue in just a few weeks. Thanks, Amazon!
