LEGO Star Wars Summer 2014 Sets List Revealed & Thoughts!

Goodbye LEGO 2013… Hello LEGO 2014! After spending the last several months previewing the Winter 2014 LEGO sets, I expected I’d have the opportunity to breathe a sigh of relief and enjoy a short respite while news was slow for a while. Nope! The Hungarian retailer LEGO Markabolt had to go an spoil my break by leaking a plethora of LEGO Summer 2014 sets names! I can’t complain too much though, as the rumored LEGO Star Wars Summer 2014 sets lineup is the strongest assortment in a long, long time…

The rumored list of LEGO Star Wars 2014 summer sets is as follows:

  • LEGO Star Wars Phantom 75048 $24.99
  • LEGO Star Wars Snowspeeder 75049 (278 pieces) $39.99
  • LEGO Star Wars B-Wing 75050 (448 pieces) $59.99
  • LEGO Star Wars Jedi Hunter Frontier 75051 (490 pieces) $69.99
  • LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina 75052 (615 pieces) $79.99
  • LEGO Star Wars The Ghost 75053 $99.99
  • LEGO Star Wars AT-AT 75054 (1,138 pieces) $120
  • LEGO Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer 75055 $149.99

Star Wars Rebels Ghost Ship Schematics

If some of those names leave you scratching your head, it’s because those sets are based on the upcoming Star Wars Rebels cartoon series! The 75053 LEGO Ghost will be based on the main ship from the Rebels cartoon, which Disney has previously shown off the basic schematics for. The 75051 LEGO Jedi Hunter Frontier and 75048 LEGO Phantom are also expected to be LEGO Star Wars Rebels sets. Will the sets launch before the Star Wars Rebels animated series has a chance to premiere in the fall? I guess we’ll see!

In addition to the new Rebels Star Wars LEGO sets, summer 2014 will reportedly bring us a return to the greatly-wanted Star Wars Original Trilogy! Fans have been screaming for a new and improved LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina for a decade (to replace the pitiful original LEGO 4501 Mos Eisley Cantina from 2004), and LEGO 75052 will fulfill that wish when it arrives in another half year from now! Will we finally see a new LEGO Greedo minifigure? I’d bet on it!

In addition the new LEGO Cantina, a strong Star Wars Original Trilogy Imperial presence with new versions of the 75054 LEGO AT-AT and 75055 LEGO Star Destroyer should prove popular with LEGO collectors and huge sellers at retail (or at least better than the majority of LEGO Star Wars Prequel Trilogy sets that languished on sets throughout 2013).

For the moment these Summer 2014 LEGO Star Wars sets are purely rumors and won’t be confirmed until the 2014 Toy Fair next month, but when we get a leaked retailer list like this one, it usually turns out to be factual information. I’ll post an update once these sets are officially confirmed and verified by LEGO, and you can ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook to have future LEGO news, photos and updates sent instantly to your Facebook Newsfeed!

What do you think of the unconfirmed LEGO Star Wars Summer 2014 sets list, LEGO fans? Does anything on this list get you salivating, or were you expecting something different on the LEGO Star Wars front?

  1. A new B-Wing! Finally! I’ll be all over that like white on rice. My Rebel fleet will be complete. 🙂

  2. *Breaks out into 90s music craze* I’m so excited! And I can’t just hide it… *reverts back* haha 🙂 But I can not wait until next month for the Mos Eisly Cantina set to be revealed at Toy Fair! Already having to wait until sometime in August is bad enough! I still have the original set to this day, however, I am missing the Sandtrooper’s cape, ALL of Greedo (Except his left arm lol), Luke entirely and Obi-wan’s head. I am REALLY hoping for a good Imperial Star Destroyer and AT-AT. I would love a motorized AT-AT :* The Imperial Star Destroyer better be atleast hitting a 1300 piece count, the last one, not the USC one btw, had around 1200. Not to very excited for the Winter line, I do love both triology’s of the movies, but I limit myself to the original as it is my personal favorite. The only good thing from that line, is that the sets I would normally want, would only cost me around $200, which a line may cost me as high as $320, *cough cough*Jabba line*cough cough*
Or sometimes as low as just $60, because I really didn’t care for the second movie sets that were recently released, and only bought them because of the figures. Anyhow, this is going to be a very exciting year for me personally as a Lego Star Wars collector, simply because of the Cantina.
