The 2013 American International Toy Fair begins in just one week, but we already know about most of the LEGO Star Wars Summer 2013 sets that will be officially debuted at the show! Various photos of in-development upcoming 2013 LEGO Star Wars sets from catalogs and promotional materials have been floating around the internet, including all-new updates of the Republic Gunship, AT-TE, and Jabba’s Sail Barge…
LEGO has explored most of the iconic vehicles in the Star Wars universe by now, so in 2013 they’re focusing on revisiting some legendary Star Wars vehicles we haven’t seen in years!
Perhaps most-anticipated, we’ll get a new-build 2013 Republic Gunship (the third full-size build of the vehicle). While a Clone Wars Republic Gunship 20010 was released in 2009, this set is based on the vehicle’s appearance in “Attack of the Clones”, as the original Republic Gunship 7163 was back in 2002. The LEGO Republic Gunships are highly sought-after and expensive on the secondary market, so it’s great to see a new run of them on the way (especially with another much-needed Padme minifigure)!
Another mega-popular vehicle returning in 2013 is the LEGO Jabba’s Sail Barge 75020! Star Wars collectors have clamored for Hasbro to make Jabba’s Sail Barge for years with no results, but this will be LEGO’s second take on the Sail Barge!
While this build of the LEGO Sail Barge doesn’t seem to be as elaborate as the 6210 Jabba’s Sail Barge from 2006, that set is astronomically expensive now and out of reach of many collectors. With new minifigures like the Gran Ree-Yees and Max Rebo, along with an updated Server Droid R2-D2, this set is one of my most-anticipated of the year!
The last major set getting a new release in the LEGO Star Wars Summer 2013 wave is the Republic AT-TE! Like the Republic Gunship, this is the third release of a full-size LEGO AT-TE Walker. The AT-TE 4482 was a small, AOTC movie-based version of the AT-TE released back in 2002, while the largest Clone Wars-specific AT-TE Walker 7675 was released in 2008. The LEGO Star Wars 2013 AT-TE Walker will thus be the very extremely large, Episode II-specific build of the AT-TE released! In addition, the set will come packed with the awesome-looking Jedi Coleman Trebor minifigure (a character who, oddly enough, died before the AT-TE even debuted).
Final prototypes of all of these LEGO Star Wars vehicles and more should be debuting at the International Toy Fair beginning February 10th. Look for the 2013 LEGO Star Wars Republic Gunship, Jabba’s Sail Barge, and AT-TE to land in stores around July or August of 2013.

For the AT-TE and Gunship, aren’t they the wrong Clone Troopers? They are the Clone Wars ones, yet the set is from Episode II Attack of the Clones.
I’m guessing LEGO will replace those with proper Episode II Clone Trooper Minifigures in the final set, and they just used the Clone Wars Clone Troopers minifigures as stand-ins for the prototype. At least, I hope so!
Who’s that guy in the cockpit of the Republic Gunship?
I think that’s just a placeholder minifigure for the prototype box image. I imagine that guy will be replaced with the Clone Trooper Officer minifigure on the final box.
