Let’s face it: LEGO releases far, far too many sets for any one person to collect all of in any given year. As regular readers know, I buy a lot of LEGO sets in any given month, but I don’t come anywhere near owning everything that’s available. Some sets slip through the cracks and go out of production (and off store shelves) before we can add them to our collections. Luckily, there are great online stores out there that sell retired LEGO sets, and one such store is offering our readers a giveaway! Read on to find out how you can win one of two retired LEGO Star Wars Echo Base 7749 sets, to be given away by new online retailer Fun.com!
For those wanting to army-build Hoth trooper minifigures, the 7749 LEGO Echo Base set is a great place to start. There’s just one problem: the set was discontinued in 2011 and hasn’t been in regular retail stores for years!
But if you want your own LEGO Star Wars Echo Base 7749 set and don’t want to have to hunt it down on the aftermarket, there’s still hope: online retailer Fun.com has kindly agreed to let us hold a contest to give away a retired LEGO Echo Base set to two lucky readers!
The LEGO Hoth Echo Base giveaway contest is now officially open, and will run for just over two weeks. During that time, all you’ll need to do is enter using the RaffleCopter widget below and you’ll have a chance to win one of the two LEGO 7749 sets that Fun.com has donated!
On July 27th, 2014, the contest will close and two entrants will be selected to have a LEGO Star Wars Echo Base set shipped to them absolutely free! You’ll have 24 hours to respond to my Facebook message with your shipping address, so make sure that you ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook so that you get the message! If you’re not a Bricks and Bloks fan on Facebook, you are not eligible to win. Also, this contest is open to readers with a shipping address in the United States only. Sorry, international fans!
Good luck, readers! And a huge thanks to Fun.com for donating these great prizes for our readers! Be sure to check out their retired LEGO Star Wars sets available on their website!
This is awesome 🙂
