It may have only been Valentine’s Day a couple of days ago, but it’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas–especially when we’re talking about Christmas LEGO sets! The tradition of LEGO Star Wars advent calendars will live on in 2015, and at the New York Toy Fair 2015, we got our first look at this year’s calendar! Headlined by Santa C-3PO and Reindeer R2-D2, it’s the 75097 LEGO Star Wars 2015 Advent Calendar!
Like every year, there are one or two totally exclusive holiday-themed Star Wars figures that are the marquee figures for the set. This year, it’s everyone’s favorite droids duo: a LEGO Santa C-3PO minifigure and a Reindeer R2-D2 minifigure! I love R2 and 3PO, and this is one of the most fun takes on them ever. Thumbs up!
But it’s not just droids this set is packing–it’s got my other favorite parts of Star Wars represented as well: Jawas and Ewoks!
I took photographs of every segment of this LEGO 75097 Star Wars Advent Calendar 2015 set at the Toy Fair, and the portions that I can identify are as follows:
- LEGO Jawa Minifigure (YES!!)
- LEGO Jawa Sandcrawler Mini Build
- LEGO Sarlacc Mini Build
- LEGO Jabba’s Sail Barge Mini Build
- LEGO Ewok Minifigure
- LEGO C-3PO Santa Claus Minifigure
- LEGO R2-D2 Reindeer Minifigure
- LEGO Echo Base Trooper Minifigure
- LEGO Imperial Probe Droid Mini Build
- LEGO Stormtrooper Minifigure
- LEGO AT-AT Mini Build
- LEGO Hoth Ion Cannon Mini Build
- LEGO Milennium Falcon Mini Build
- LEGO IG-88 Minifigure
- LEGO Star Destroyer Mini Build
- LEGO A-Wing Mini Build
Those are all of the builds in this set that are immediately obvious to me, but if you see anything else identifiable in the photos (or can recall the name of the Jawa’s Droid included in this set!), feel free to leave a reply and fill us in!
I’ll be continuing my coverage of New York Toy Fair 2015 with more photos and articles all month long, and you can Subscribe to Bricks and Bloks or ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook to have updates and photos sent right to your Facebook Newsfeed!
Based off of our first look, are you happy with the 75097 LEGO Star Wars 2015 Advent Calendar set, LEGO fans? Will you be looking forward to counting down to the holidays with this year’s Star Wars LEGO Advent Calendar?
I believe that was a mining droid. They would plant, arm, and disable mines, though I’m not sure if they can set them off.

The vehicle in picture 2 is probably just a Star Wars version of Santa’s sleigh and not based on anything in the universe.
Back-right of picture 3 is probably based off of Echo Base (pun not intended).
Picture 4 (left with green studs) is a Death Star turret.
The far right builds in picture 5 are (L→R) a mini Ewok Village and a catapult.
bright tree village mini build, behind the ewok.
Wow, nothing from Episodes I-III! Not that I mind, though. The black/gray/green turret appears to be from the surface of the first Death Star. I realize now that I try to block the Ewoks (and therefore much of the Endor stuff) from my memory.
Looks great and I am sure we will make this our 4th advent calendar, however, what about a female character? Whilst my son is the Star Wars lego collector, his sisters play with him and his younger sister in particular wants girl characters. We got her Ahsoka Tano and Barriss Offee from eBay and she made a Leia with a city lego girl head on a spare Han Solo body so we are always looking to make someone new. All the Leia’s are $20 on eBay, the Padme in the Queen outfit sells for $40 on the aftermarket, I just don’t know why they can’t throw one in. Last year Padme as Mrs Claus would’ve been a no-brainer with Santa darth. This year, maybe Leia, or how about Aunt Beru to go with that Jawa. Maybe next year …
