With only four months before the 2014 LEGO Star Wars winter wave of sets begins to hit stores, it was only a matter of time until details about the series leaked out to the Internet–and that time has come! We now know that there will be 19 (yes, nineteen) LEGO Star Wars 2014 winters sets available around the new year, including an all-new sub-series of small-scale sets, the return of single faction battle packs and a huge emphasis on Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith sets. If you’re a Star Wars OT (Original Trilogy) fan, prepare for some major disappointment…
Yesterday I reported on the upcoming LEGO Star Wars small-scale vehicles sets that will be replacing the LEGO Star Wars Planets series. You can check out that article for all the details on those sets, but to recap, the six new small-scale LEGO Star Wars vehicle sets scheduled for release in December 2013/January 2014 are as follows…

Along with those sets, we’ll also see the much-requested return of single faction LEGO Star Wars Battle Packs in 2014! No longer will you have to buy LEGO Star Wars minifigures sets that are half made up of opposing sides! Instead, you can army-build exactly the troops you want once again!
There’s four sets this time: Kashyyk Trooper minifigures (I would assume clones and not Wookies, but who knows?), Death Star Trooper minifigures, Utapau Clone Troopers (orange Clones like Cody), and a set for the Battle on Saleucami (most likely Captain Neyo and a speederbike with a few of Neyo’s clones).

LEGO 75034 Death Star Troopers is of special note, as it is the only non small-scale 2014 LEGO Star Wars Original Trilogy set. I hope we get a Death Star Gunner minifigure in this set as well as the Death Star Trooper Minifigures.

There are two all-new, never-before done LEGO Star Wars items in this set: the LEGO AV-7 Anti-Vehicle Cannon and the LEGO Republic Police Gunship. The AV-7 Cannon was a popular vehicle that never got very good distribution by Hasbro, so I’m curious to see LEGO take a crack at it. The LEGO Coruscant Police Gunship is from the final arc of the Clone Wars, and will hopefully include a Phase II Commander Fox minifigure.

2014 LEGO Star Wars Set Photos! Wheel Bike, Droid Gunship, V-Wing!
Not that impressed. The fact that 5 of the regular sets have already had recent versions leaves me disappointed. Hopefully there will be something more interesting to be announced later.
I just learned that there is going to be a swamp speeder with kashyyyk troopers and with the Death Star troopers they actually have red robed guards as well
I called this. I absolutely called this. Last week I explained to my friends how I was absolutely sure there would be a focus on ROTS and a few last CW sets in 2014.
Well, I’m quite happy with it but I would have preferred to have something like the ultimate space battle or a remake of the clone turbo tank
It’ll save me a fortune at least. Looks like Ewok Village will be my only main purchase depending on the figures in the Death Star Trooper pack and any variations in the small scale sets. I’m guessing the X-Wing might have the new torso and leg printing with maybe an alternative helmet. I’m kind of hoping there isn’t a Death Star Gunner as it’ll be going up against my Christo custom version and if they didn’t put it in a £300 Death Star set I can’t see them creating the mould for a £10 figure pack… not for one figure anyway and I just can’t see them putting 2 gunners in there. Now a Bespin pack with 2 Bespin guards and 2 Cloud Car pilots would be a winner!… Looks like Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings sets is where to look!
I’m actually okay with it being ROTS, as I always thought it was the best of the Prequel Trilogy (meaning the only good one)

All those mentioned, besides LEGO Star Wars General Grievous’ Wheel Bike 75040 perhaps doesnt make me wanna buy them…
Sucks… just hope the mini batlle packs with the figs are worth it
There probably won’t be any new LEGO Star Wars UCS sets until summer 2014. I’m sure that there will be some next year, though.
there will be great battle packs and i heard the battle of salecame will have two battle droids and two super battle droids and one of neyos clones, also the death star trooper pack will have 2 death star troops and two red robed dudes, i just wish they made umbaran battle packs
