LEGO has been trying desperately to keep the identities of the sixteen characters that will make up the LEGO Simpsons Minifigures Series 71005 a secret, but they’ve been fouled again by another leaked retailer list! The 71005 LEGO Simpsons series of minifigures is due out in just two months, and now we know every LEGO Simpsons figure that’s in the works! Some fans are going to be psyched by the LEGO Simpsons minifigures lineup, while others will be disappointed…

For the most part, LEGO did a very nice job of obscuring the identities of the LEGO Simpsons characters that would be seen as minifigure toys. While everyone knew we’d be getting a LEGO Milhouse minifigure after the character showed up at the council in “The LEGO Movie”, there was little certainty regarding other characters who would make the cut.

Wonder no more, though! Thanks to a leaked UK retailer list, we can now confirm that the sixteen figures that will make up the LEGO The Simpsons Minifigures Series of blind bags are as follows:

Given that there’s only space for sixteen figures in the LEGO Simpsons blind bags, I do think that it’s rather disappointing that all six characters that came with the LEGO Simpsons House released this winter will be repeated in the LEGO 71005 blind bags. On the other hand, this stratagem ensures that everyone can at least have the whole Simpsons LEGO family–not just collectors with an extra $200 to spend to buy the whole Simpsons house.

Though not everyone loves The Simpsons, many of the characters have become iconic after 25 years on television. I imagine there will be plenty of non-LEGO collectors out there in stores hunting for their own LEGO Ralph Wiggum and LEGO Apu figures.

I know a lot of folks really wanted to see a LEGO Simpsons Moe minifigure, but, well–Moe is a bartender. We’re not going to get a LEGO Moe minifigure, just like the LEGO Star Wars Cantina doesn’t come with a LEGO Wuher minifigure–it’s just not in the cards.

Each LEGO Simpsons blind bag will retail for $3.99, and we’ll post LEGO Simpsons codes if and when a coding sequence is determined on the packaging.       • Dude, she still has a final episode and Simpsons fans who don’t even collect minifigs would go nuts to get one.

  3. I’m reasonably indifferent… I would have liked more minor characters such as Jasper, Ralph of Hans Moleman but the fact that we’re even getting 16 figures is pretty awesome!

    Plus, the highlight of this group for me is that the Itchy and Scratchy figures are in fact happening!

I agree that it’s very disappointing to release 6 characters that already came out with the Simpsons house and should either be added on to the 16 making it a total of 22 or simply replace those 6 with different characters. If the 6 are rereleased, they should have homer in his nuclear outfit and have the eyes opened with different Facial expressions. They should change the 6 to look a little different so they are not exactly the same figure. Jeff Albertson,the comic book guy should have been made a figure and Sideshow Bob to go along with the krusty fig being released. No Principle skinner or Groundskeeper willie?They are well known characters and I can’t believe they released some extra lounge chairs a cooking grill, skate board ramp all on the Simpsons house set, but no Santa’s Little Helper or Snowball II? That was a bad decision on Legos part not to include the Simpsons pets and add Neds grill or Bart’s skate ramp instead? And not to even have the pets released with the mystery bags is disappointing. The Simpsons pets are part of the Simpsons household and it would only be right to include them. They really need to release them in the mystery bags so they can be added to the house set.

    Yes it makes sense with the Simpsons family in the Minifigures series so not everyone would be forced to buy the house no matter if they have the 200 bux or not and enjoy them too, but I personally think that Lego should’ve still have replaced them and use additional six figures instead like: + Jimbo, Nelson, Kearney, Sideshow Bob, Waylon Smithers and maybe Burns, Kent B., Radioactive Man, maybe the Comic book guy, well some of them, what do you think?!
    (Note: I bet the staff at Lego whom had to made the decision on what charachters to include and who not had sleepless nights and steaming heads before the final decision)

  8. You can hardly release a Simpson’s blind bag set and not include the Simpson’s. Anyway it looks like they will be variants.
