LEGO Scooby-Doo Mystery Mansion 75904 Set Revealed!

Just when we all thought that the Mystery Machine was going to be the only LEGO Scooby-Doo set to be unveiled before this 2015 New York Toy Fair, another new set has appeared! It’s the biggest and most expensive of all of this year’s Scooby Doo sets, and also the exclusive place to nab a LEGO Velma minifigure: it’s the LEGO Scooby-Doo Mystery Mansion 75904!

I genuinely thought that the image of the LEGO Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine released earlier today would be the sole teaser for the grand unveiling of the LEGO Scooby-Doo theme until the New York Toy Fair 2015 next month. But as it turns out–I thought wrong! Not only has the iconic Mystery Machine vehicle now been revealed, but also the recognizable Mystery Mansion from the classic Scooby-Doo cartoon!

At $89.99, the 75904 is the single biggest–and single most expensive–of all the Scooby-Doo LEGO sets that are coming in 2015. Even so, if you want to complete your LEGO Scooby-Doo team, you’ll need to buy this set for its exclusive Velma LEGO minifigure.

LEGO Mystery Mansion 75904 Scooby-Doo Minifigures Velma Shaggy Black KnightIn total, the set includes eight figures (of which six are minifigures): along with the Scooby-Doo figure and brick-built Man-Eating Plant Monster, the set also includes minifigures of Shaggy and Daphne and exclusive minifigures of Black Knight, Ghost, Vampire and Velma! I think it’s a bit of a dirty move for LEGO to stick an essential character like Velma exclusively in such an expensive set, personally, but I’ll be buying this set to complete the Scooby-Doo Detective team anyway.

For accessories, we can see in the zoomed-in image that the set includes a camera, magnifying glass, two keys, ball-and-chain, and battle-axe. Shaggy also comes with a scooter with a sidecar (which presumably the LEGO Scooby-Doo figure can fit into).

LEGO Scooby-Doo Mystery Mansion Clock Tower Vampire Close-UpThe clock tower on the 75904 LEGO Mystery Mansion is pretty good-looking, but the highlight of the playset portion of this set for me is that LEGO greenhouse! It looks really cool and far more spooky than any greenhouse I’ve ever seen! I love that creepy pumpkin on it too!

This Mystery Mansion LEGO Scooby-Doo set feels a lot like an amalgam of the Monster Fighters Vampyre Castle 9468 and the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts sets to me. What do you guys think?

LEGO 75904 Scooby Doo Mystery Mansion SetI’ll be posting photos of all the new LEGO Scooby-Doo sets to the Bricks and Bloks Facebook page live from the New York Toy Fair 2015 next month, so make sure you ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook if you want news and updates from the event beamed right to your Facebook Newsfeed!

What do you think of the Scooby-Doo Mystery Mansion 75904, Scooby-lovers? Is this deluxe set worth the big bucks to you, or will you be sticking to the smaller and more affordable LEGO Scooby Doo set offerings?

  1. Some really nice purple and brown pieces (all those windows!). It’s a bit expensive, but looks like a good set, and I bet the price-per-piece ratio is about right.

While it’s annoying that Velma is exclusive to this set, on the bright side one could get this and the Mystery Machine and have the whole gang, unlike a lot of themes where vital characters are spread over five or six sets (the worst on that front had to be the dwarves from the Hobbit sets, but the Avengers sets have also done the same thing).

  2. Well that’s going on the “I really want it but will never have spare cash for it” list.

  3. Pass. The minifigures are nice, but no way I’ll dump that amount of cash on a set just for ONE minifigure. The Mystery Machine is a very nice deal (cool model and nice minifigures), but this one is only for the hard core Scooby collectors, since it’s just basically a facade of a castle and only one exclusive minifigure. Not for me, thankfully.
