LEGO Scooby-Doo Haunted Lighthouse & Mystery Plane Sets!

Just when I thought that we might be done seeing new LEGO sets until the deluge of information at the New York Toy Fair 2015 next month, images of another pair of sets shown off at the Nuremberg Toy Fair 2015 have made themselves known online! Two of the five LEGO Scooby-Doo sets were revealed last month, and now another two have made their exciting debut: it’s the LEGO Scooby-Doo Haunted Lighthouse 75903 and Mystery Plane Adventures 75901 sets!

I was beginning to wonder if LEGO had decided not to allow photography of the remaining LEGO Scooby Doo sets at the 2015 Nuremberg Toy Fair, but then Hoth Bricks swooped in to the rescue with the first pair of images of these hotly-awaited sets!

First off, we get our first look at the 75903 Haunted Lighthouse LEGO set! The actual lighthouse isn’t especially elaborate, but this set is notable for giving us LEGO Swamp Monster and Lighthouse Keeper minifigures (although the Swamp Monster looks to be a clear reuse of the mold from the Monster Fighters Swamp Creature minifigure). LEGO Shaggy, Daphne and Scooby-Doo figures will be included with the set as well (along with an awesome lime green speedboat!).

If you’re trying to build the entire gang, you’ll need to buy the LEGO Mystery Mansion 75904 to get a Velma minifigure–but if you don’t care about Velma and just want a Daphne, this is the only other set that will have her! The LEGO Haunted Lighthouse set will be retailing for £39.99, which is only half the cost of the LEGO Scooby-Doo Mystery Mansion.

The other new set that made its debut online this weekend is the LEGO Mystery Plane Adventures set. This is probably the wackiest of the four Scooby-Doo LEGO sets that we’ve seen thus far, as it features Shaggy holding a box of dog treats and hanging from a bright green, blue and orange bi-plane–piloted by Scooby-Doo himself–in pursuit of the pumpkin-headed Headless Horseman minifigure. Ah, they just don’t make cartoons like these anymore!

Whille it’s sort of a bummer that this set won’t feature any exclusive minifigures besides the LEGO Headless Horseman minifigure (who has a regular minifigure head underneath his pumpkin head, by the way!), with a low retail price of £19.99, I may be willing to pick this set up just for the crazy bright-colored plane and Headless Horseman figures.

What do you think of the two newest reveals for the LEGO 2015 Scooby-Doo theme, LEGO fans? Will either of these sets be on your wish lists this summer, or will you be sticking to the more iconic LEGO Scooby-Doo Summer 2015 sets?

  1. I will definetly pick up the lighthouse, the building itself is pretty good and you gotta love that speedboat!
