Just last night I was complaining that there hadn’t been any new LEGO sets released lately and I was going out of my mind with boredom. Well, the universe must have heard me and responded, because I woke up this morning to an absolute flood of new LEGO sets being released–almost a whole month early! Among the new sets that have popped up for sale weeks earlier than expected is one of the most beloved non-licensed themes of all-time: the LEGO 2015 Pirates sets are now available online!
But wait–! While I missed the boat (so to speak) on the Avengers Tower set, I was able to catch another boat–that of the 2015 LEGO Pirates The Brick Bounty 70413 Pirate Ship! In fact, the entire new wave of LEGO Pirates 2015 sets had been listed and were still in-stock online with free shipping!
For those who need a refresher, the six sets that make up the LEGO Pirates Winter 2015 wave are listed below (and you can click on each title to go to my previews of each set!):
- LEGO The Brick Bounty 70413
- LEGO Pirates Shipwreck Defense 70409
- LEGO Pirates Soldiers Outpost 70410
- LEGO Pirate Treasure Hunt 10679
- LEGO Pirates Soldiers Fort 70412
- LEGO Pirates Treasure Island 70411
Images of the 70411 Treasure Island set didn’t surface at the same time as the images for the rest of this year’s Pirates theme, so this is actually the first chance that I’ve had to see the set. I love that LEGO Pirate Queen minifigure, which made this set (and the Brick Bounty) the two must-buys for me in this year’s range of revived LEGO Pirates sets!
All of the LEGO Pirates 2015 sets are now available online with free shipping, but quantities are limited and it looks like these sets are bound to sell out fast (as in–today!). As the official release date for these sets isn’t until March 2015, this will probably be the only chance to snag them early until closer to the end of the month. If you want them early–now’s the time!
Anyone besides me decide to drop some booty from their bank accounts and order any of the 2015 LEGO Pirates sets? Or do you think that this is a scurvy dog of a revived LEGO theme (whatever that means)?
Avengers sets back on Amazon 😀
