LEGO Ninjago 2014 OverBorg Attack 70722 Set Revealed & Photos

Earlier I posted photos of the first of the Winter 2014 LEGO Ninjago sets–the Kai Fighter 70721–and now it’s time to shine the spotlight on a set featuring the newest version of the most popular member of the Ninjago cast–Lloyd Garmadon, the Green Ninja! Lloyd’s back, and he’s driving the new Green Ninja Cycle into battle to confront the menace of the OverBorg in the LEGO Ninjago OverBorg Attack 70722 set!

LEGO Ninjago 70722 OverBorg Attack Winter 2014 Set Revealed

Of all the sets on the rumored LEGO Ninjago 2014 sets list, the “OverBorg Attack” set was the one that was the most opaque to guesswork. Luckily, thanks to some early leaked photos of the set and its box, we don’t have to guess what this set is going to be anymore! The set will consist of two vehicles: the Green Ninja Cycle and the OverBord Tank Cycle (as well as some fun accessories like a fire hydrant and garbage can).

Though we last saw Lloyd in 2013 as the Gold Ninja, the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master, he’s back in his familiar green duds for 2014! And he is looking far, far slicker and more mature than any Lloyd Garmadon minifigure that’s ever been released before. The blonde hair and green bandana make the Green Ninja Lloyd minifigure look particularly dashing and heroic–I really don’t think I’ll ever be able go back to displaying the old masked Ninjago figures once this new wave hits stores in the winter!70722 LEGO Ninjago OverBorg Attack 2013 Set with Lloyd Green Ninja MinifigureThe OverBorg’s tank bike looks like the snowmobile from Hell, as it’s covered in swords and saw blades and other deadly weapons. The OverBorg minifigure is equally terrifying with his cyborg appendages and crazy chainsaw sword! Lloyd is in for a real fight when he tangles with the OverBorg!

The LEGO Ninjago OverBorg Attack 70722 set is part of the LEGO Ninjago 2014 Winter wave of sets, and should be released just before or after the holidays. The set is 207 pieces, contains two minifigures (Lloyd the Green Ninja and OverBorg) and will likely be priced at $19.99 retail. I’ll update with more photos and information on this set as more news about it becomes available.
