Following up my discussions of the LEGO Mixels Series 3 Glorp Corp Green Tribe and Purple Wiztastics Tribe, it’s time to talk about the last new tribe coming in the Series 3 LEGO Mixels (which, non-coincidentally, is also the final known LEGO Mixels tribe for 2014). While the other two new tribes in LEGO Mixels Series 3 have some rather “unnatural” themes (slimy boogers and supernatural magic), the theme for the LEGO Mixels Tan Tribe is a lot more down to earth. Coming Fall 2014–the spike and claw-themed LEGO Mixels Spikels Tribe sets!
I probably should have saved the best for last, but instead, I saved the LEGO Mixels tribe that I thought was the most dull for last instead. That may have been a mistake in retrospect, but hindsight is 20/20 and all that. Anyway, the LEGO Mixels Spikels Tribe is composed of mostly grey, light tan and dark tan elements. It’s very earthy, and the defining characteristic of this tribe is their spikes and claws.
LEGO Mixels Series 3 Hoogi 41523
LEGO 41523 Hoogi has a whopping four micro ball-joints, as both of his arms and both of his legs are ball-jointed! He’s definitely going to be a favorite of MOCers!
41522 LEGO Scorpi Mixels Spikels Tribe
At a glance, I thought that LEGO Scorpi 41522 was the most darling of the LEGO Mixels Series 3 figures being released in August 2014. But then I kept looking at him, and the more I looked at the Scorpi Mixels set, the more I got creeped out by him. While Scorpi is (obviously) a scorpion-inspired Mixels toy, he’s giving me “Flood” vibes (as in, the freakish zombie Flood from Halo). A lot of people will probably like lil’ Scorpi, but he’s a definite pass for me.
LEGO 41521 Mixels Series 3 Footi Set
Regardless, I don’t particularly like the LEGO Footi figure. While he doesn’t set off my creepiness radar in the way that Scorpi does, I just don’t find Footi cute–especially considering that he has the hinge-joint arms that I hate so much on these Mixels figures.
The Mixels Spikels Tribe figures are part of LEGO Mixels Series 3, which is scheduled to be released in August 2014. I’ll post an update when the third series of LEGO Mixels are spotted in the wild, and you can ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook to have news and photos sent straight to your Facebook Newsfeed!
What do you think of the LEGO Mixels Spikels Tribe, LEGO fans? Are the Spikels your favorite of the three Series 3 LEGO Mixels Tribe, or is there a different tribe that you prefer more?
i think this will be the first or the second tribe i fully get, as i still havent decided on the ic etheme yet, in either case this tribe is a must buy. I love them all!!!
I think that this will be awesome for series 3 for the mixels. I have all of series one and two so I will end up having all of them.
