As of yesterday, LEGO Mixels Series 2 has now officially been released in all stores. And that means that the Mixels Series 2 LEGO sets are old news, and it’s time to look ahead to LEGO Mixels Series 3! Not to be outdone, LEGO Mixels Series 3 will include three all-new Mixels tribes of all-new colors (new to Mixels, not the world). And the LEGO Mixels Green Tribe just may be the weirdest and most random of them all, because as far as I can tell, the LEGO Green Mixels Glorp Corp figures might be… booger themed?!
That said, let’s take a look at these three Series 3 Mixels figures…
LEGO Mixels Series 3 Glomp 41518
LEGO 41518 Glomp has got long legs, stubby little T-Rex arms, and what seems to be, uh… mucus… running down from his face? This is really sort of a gross figure, and though he has a slight resemblance to Mike Wazowski of Monsters Inc. fame, LEGO Glomp sort of creeps me out.
LEGO Mixels Series 3 Torts 41520 Set
Next up, we’ve got 41520 LEGO Torts. LEGO Mixels Series 3 Torts is another figure that I honest to gosh have no idea what to say about. He’s got slime/mucus/booger… hands? Umm… yuck? With his fanged, goblin-like face, Torts is another Mixel figure that will definitely not be setting foot in my home. Grossness.
LEGO Mixels Series 3 Glurt 41519
Finally, we’ve got LEGO 41519 Glurt. And I am pleased and thrilled to say that the Glurt Mixels Green Tribe figure is actually really cute! Mixels Series 3 Glurt actually reminds me of LEGO Mixels Series 2 Jawg in cuteness and aesthetics. The translucent green running out of Glurt’s mouth is just dog-like slobber (I hope), and I can already tell that this is the one (and only) member of the LEGO Mixels Glorp Corp that I’ll be picking up.
LEGO Mixels Series 3 will be released in late Summer 2014 (around August/September 2014). I’ll post an update once the Series 3 LEGO Mixels are spotted in stores, and you can ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook to have updates sent right to your Facebook Newsfeed!
What do you think of the LEGO Mixels Glorp Corp tribe of Green Mixels, LEGO fans? Is this booger/slime/ooze/slobber themed tribe of Mixels up your alley, or will you be giving what’s most definitely the grossest LEGO Mixels tribe yet a pass this fall?
I’ve been liking the Mixel sets more and more. You can really can some interesting pieces for cheap (especially those magnificent ball joints)! One of my new faves is the orange mixel Tentro! I know you’re not too fond of the orange ones but if you had to give one a chance, make it Tentro! He’s like a cute little squid!
The best part of the Mixels is the very creative use of some of the lesser-seen Lego pieces.
I’m still not buying any, though.
Kind of off-topic, but on my Tentro mixel uses one of those 2×2 turntable plates so his legs can spin freely. Is there a piece that is like that but not loose? I’d like to use one that has a tighter fit so he can still turn but he’s not spinning wildly all the time.
i know you dont like these ones but torts and glurt seem to use new peices, and look at all the ball joints on glomp! parts wise these are the best mixels yet! i dont do MOCing though so these dont really appeal to me, but still!
I think this is definitely aimed toward slime themed….
I was pretty exited for this ones (at the time I thought them to be jungle themed) but booger? I hope the max is not a booger filled figure
My 5-year-old son just said “I think they’re the snot team!” We both love them all!
I would buy them for the pieces, nothing else
They’re SNOT the tribe for you then.
