LIND LEGO Minifigures Series 9 has now officially been released in the United States! I legitimately hadn’t heard of any domestic LEGO Minifigures Series 9 sightings when I went out holiday shopping this afternoon, so my jaw virtually hit the floor when I ran across a whole shelf of LEGO 71000 Minifigures Series 9 blind bags sitting out in the open!
As usual, the LEGO Store is charging the suggested retail price of $2.99 per minifigure pack. There don’t appear to be any limits on the number of LEGO Series 9 minifigures you can buy in-store, as there weren’t any signs posted and the cashier accepted my handfuls of packs without even bothering to count them before ringing them up.
I picked up 7 packs of LEGO Minifigures Series 9 figures–I could have probably bought a bunch more packs to have a chance of completing the set, but I wanted to leave a lot for late holiday shoppers (like myself!) to purchase for stocking stuffers and what-not. I’ll be reviewing the 7 minifigures I pulled (assuming that there are no duplicates–and there likely will be) over the next week and a half leading to the end of the year. I’m really hoping that I was lucky enough to draw a Mr. Good and Evil minifigure and at least one Cyclops. I guess we’ll see soon!
I was really surprised by how pretty the shiny silver plastic used for the Series 9 LEGO Minifigures blind bags is! From online photos I thought that the packets were just grey, but it turns out they’re a resplendent silver and one of my favorite series colors yet!
As of now, I haven’t seen or heard of LEGO Minifigures Series 9 71000 being found anywhere but official LEGO Stores. But as these hotly-anticipated minifigures are now out, it should only be a matter of a few weeks before they permeate retail stores and are available at Target, Walmart, and Toys R Us stores everywhere.
