There’s been a wealth of false rumors and misinformation circulating about LEGO Minifigures Series 13 71008, so I’ve been staying silent on the subject until some verifiable proof came along to support claims about the series. Well, over the course of the last few days, that proof has finally arrived! Thanks to a couple of minifigures shown in the UK LEGO Club Magazine, as well as a leaked photo of the display stand for the series, we can now confirm the authenticity of the actual 71008 LEGO Minifigures Series 13 set coming in winter 2015!
Considering that the first few “leaked lists” of LEGO Minifigures Series 13 figures turned out to be fake, I’ve been extra wary of posting any information that’s popped up regarding this winter 2015 LEGO Minifigures assortment.
But a couple of events have occurred in the past few days that have made me feel comfortable enough with the latest leaked list of LEGO Series 13 minifigures to pass it on–primarily a leaked photo of the actual LEGO Minifigures Series 13 71008 display stand posted by French site Hoth Bricks.
In the leaked image, you can clearly see nine of the sixteen figures that are scheduled for the LEGO 2015 Minifigures Series 13 set, which more or less confirms the entirety of the most recent leaked list.
The sixteen figures that will make up LEGO 71008 Minifigures Series 13 are as follows:
Disco Diva [Confirmed via photo]
Egyptian Warrior [Confirmed via photo]
King [Confirmed via photo]
Lady Cyclops [Confirmed via photo]
Paleontologist [Confirmed via photo]
Sheriff [Confirmed via photo]
Snake Charmer [Confirmed via photo]
Unicorn Girl [Confirmed via photo]
Galaxy Trooper
Evil Wizard
Goblin
Carpenter
Hot Dog Guy
Samurai
Fencer
We had previously seen images of the LEGO Unicorn Girl minifigure and the LEGO Snake Charmer Minifigure in the most recent LEGO Club Magazine (UK Version) released, so seeing those same characters once again here in the display packaging for the series makes me feel 100% certain that this time the leaked list is completely accurate.
I’m rather disappointed to see another series in green packaging after we just had LEGO Minifigures Series 11 in green packaging last year, but the figure lineup for this series of blind bags that I (think) I can get past the disappointment of not getting LEGO Minifigures in metallic purple packaging (I really want to see a purple LEGO Minifigure Series soon, though).
I’ll post an update once LEGO releases official hi-res images of the characters that make up LEGO Minifigures Series 13, and you can ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook to have LEGO news, photos and updates beamed right to your Facebook Newsfeed!
Based off of these very early leaked images, how do you like LEGO Minifigures Series 13, LEGO fans? Does this series match up well with previous series that LEGO has released, or are you let down by the lineup for the first LEGO Minifigures Series of 2015?
great – thank you
Pfft…. We haven’t even finished getting series 12 yet.
I wish they would make a series of these standalone Minifigures. But of DC Superheroes
LEGO cannot get the license to sell individual LEGO Marvel, LEGO DC or LEGO Star Wars figures outside of sets, as those licenses all belong to other companies.
Doesn’t make sense to me considering they release the sets, plus have made individual promotional figures of DC characters in the past.
