In 2013, April 15th will take on new meaning and become more than just everyone’s favorite day of the year (tax day)–it will also bring along the all-new LEGO Minifigures Character Encyclopedia by DK Publishing! We’ve had LEGO Character Encyclopedias released over the last few years for everything from Star Wars to Harry Potter to Ninjago, and now it’s the blind-bagged LEGO Collectable Minifigures’ turn!

This book was first revealed in the 2013 DK Catalog, but we now have more information on its release. This LEGO Minifigures Character Encylopedia will be 208 pages and come packaged with an all-new, exclusive LEGO Collectable Minifigure. While it’s still not 100% confirmed, the exclusive minifigure is widely-speculated to be the Toy Soldier minifigure that was revealed via the LEGO parts database this fall.

The wind-up Toy Soldier minifigure is easily one of my very favorite minifigures that LEGO has created for the Lego Collectable Minifigures line, and an all-around excellent choice to make the exclusive minifigure bundled with the LEGO Minifigures Character Encyclopedia! I imagine a lot of collectors who otherwise would have passed on this LEGO book will pick it up just to get their hands on the awesome exclusive Toy Soldier minifigure.

The LEGO Minifigures Character Encyclopedia is going to be filled with facts and trivia about each LEGO Collectable Minifigure released in Series 1-10, and is already making me feel an urge to go back and pick up figures that I skipped along the way!
