I woke up this morning to an unexpected surprise–a European retailer had leaked the first official photos of a pair of LEGO Minecraft sets scheduled for release in November 2014! Unlike the first four LEGO Minecraft Micro-World sets that are already available, the upcoming LEGO Minecraft sets will be in the standard LEGO size and include the first-ever LEGO Minecraft Minifigures. And now, we can take our inaugural hi-res peek at the first two sets to be fully revealed–LEGO Minecraft The Cave 21113 and LEGO Minecraft The Farm 21114!
I actually think that the coolest-looking thing in this whole set, however, is the LEGO Minecraft pickaxe for Steve to wield! I really like that stylized version of the pickaxe! The LEGO TNT barrel and torch look pretty nifty too, although it’s rather disappointing that the chest and bread aren’t stylized at all. This will be a cheap, fun set that a lot of kids (and us older kids) are going to love getting for Christmas this year!
The other LEGO Minecraft minifi-scale set to be revealed is the Minecraft LEGO 21114 The Farm set. This set is a lot more peaceful, as it’s, you know–a farm. There’s a LEGO Minecraft Skeleton minifigure to disrupt the tranquility after nightfall, but I really like the peace of just tending the farm. The LEGO Steve minifigure can tend the farm and raise carrots, (really cool) pumpkins, wheat, sugar cane, sheep and cows! It’s the most fun you’ll ever have pretending to work a farm made out of plastic!
The 21113 LEGO Minecraft The Cave and 21114 LEGO Minecraft The Farm sets will be available in November 2014. I’ll sent out an alert via the Bricks and Bloks Facebook page to order the sets once they’re released, so be sure to ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook so that you get news and photos in your Facebook Newsfeed.
