LEGO DC Superheroes fans rejoiced at the end of January 2014 when it was revealed that the LEGO Stores March 2014 free promo minifigure would be the last DC Super Heroes minifigure needed to complete the Justice League: Martian Manhunter! But this story has a shocking plot twist–if you snoozed, you missed out! Though the LEGO Martian Manhunter minifigure promo was meant to last until March 31 2014, the promo has sold out in just 10 days and is no longer available!

…Well, that was unexpected. When LEGO decides to do a crucial character as a limited promotional giveaway at the LEGO Stores, you would think that they would have some clue of exactly how popular said promo is going to be and plan to produce sufficient quantities of such a central character. But in this case, apparently not.

Although the LEGO Martian Manhunter minifigure promo was meant to run for 31 days, the online LEGO Store has completely run out of LEGO Martian Manhunter exclusive figures in just 10 days and the promotion is now over!

Bummer, right?!

I’m feeling really disappointed in LEGO in this instance. They had to know that the Martian Manhunter LEGO minifigure was going to be in huge demand or they wouldn’t have bothered making it a promo item at all. If the LEGO Store had sold out of LEGO Martian Manhunter figures after three weeks or something I could understand, but to be totally wiped out less than one-third of the way through the promo period is just ridiculous.

As a result of LEGO Martian Manhunter selling out entirely through the online LEGO Store, if you want a LEGO J’onn J’onzz for your collection, you’ll have to find him at a physical LEGO Store (if any aren’t sold out) or pick one up online, where LEGO Martian Manhunter minifigures are selling for $13 (with the prices quickly rising now that the figure is unavailable).
