At the end of last week we got our first photo preview of one of the new LEGO Chima 2014 minifigures in the form of Blista the Bat Tribe minifigure, and now it looks like that was just the first in a string of 2014 LEGO Legends of Chima images! The second of the new LEGO Chima Animal Tribes to be officially revealed is the Rhino Tribe, beginning with the Rogon the Rhino minifigure from this winter’s LEGO Legends of Chima Rogon’s Rock Flinger 70131 set!

It’s no secret that we’re going to be getting a bare minimum of four new LEGO Legends of Chima animal tribes in 2014: the now-revealed Bat Tribe, the Rhino Tribe, the Spider Tribe and the Scorpion Tribe. This seems a little unbalanced, as one would assume that the Bat Tribe, Spider Tribe and Scorpion Tribe are all going to be “bad guys”, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see how this plays out in the LEGO Chima mythos.

Anyway, L@go posted some photos from the LEGO World Utrecht 2013 LEGO Designer’s Booth, where LEGO was publicly displaying the LEGO Legends of Chima Winter 2014 Rogon the Rhino minifigure for the very first time! Rogon is expected to be released about two months from now, packed in with LEGO 70131 Rogon’s Rock Flinger set.

As excellent as I think the 2014 LEGO Rogon minifigure looks, I think that his blaster gun weapon may be even cooler than he is! Seriously, that just might be the snazziest weapon LEGO has come up with thus far for the LEGO Legends of Chima theme. I can’t wait to see what they’ve cooked up for the LEGO Spider and Scorpion Tribes!

Also on display at the 2013 LEGO World Utrecht event were some prototype heads for the Rhino Tribe head mold, showing the development of the LEGO Rhino Tribe head from start to finish. Neat!

As of writing, no images or details have been revealed of the actual 70131 LEGO Rogon’s Rock Flinger Legends of Chima set, but I’ll post updates information on this set and all of the other upcoming Winter 2014 LEGO sets as more news comes to light. LEGO Legends of Chima Rogon’s Rock Flinger 70131 should be available online and in stores when it’s released at the end of 2013. I am very excited for next year’s LEGO Chima sets and the new 2014 Chima Animal Tribes, so I will definitely be picking up many of the new sets to review when they’re released this winter.
