In less than 24 hours, LEGO will have finally shown their cards at New York Toy Fair 2015 and debuted virtually every one of the LEGO Summer 2015 sets! But before that time comes, LEGO still has a few chances to tease us, and as such, they’re revealing the very first official LEGO Jurassic World set today: the LEGO Jurassic World Raptor Rampage 75917 set!
Let’s face it: the dinosaurs are the true stars of the Jurassic Park movies anothe upcoming Jurassic World movie (the T-Rex and Raptors fight over who’s the bigger star in the first movie, FYI). So it’s no surprise that the first 2015 LEGO Jurassic World set to be revealed will be featuring two of the brand’s most beloved characters: Raptors!
…Oh yeah, and Star-Lord is there too. In total, LEGO 75917 includes five figures: a (Chris Pratt) Owen minifigure, a Beth minifigure, a Park Ranger minifigure, and figures of Blue the Raptor and Charlie the Raptor (Awww! What sweet names!).
The truck that comes with this set is, well… a truck, but it looks good enough for what it is. Presumably the back of the truck opens up so that the LEGO Raptors can be contained and transported within.
LEGO Raptor Rampage 75917 will be released in stores in May 2015 (although we can safely bet on the set hitting some stores in April instead). The set should carry a $49.99 U.S. price-tag, although we wot get confirmation of that until NY Toy Fair 2015 tomorrow.
I’ll be covering all of the LEGO Jurassic World sets as part of my Toy Fair 2015 coverage this weekend, so make sure you keep watching the site and the Bricks and Bloks Facebook Page so you don’t miss any of our photos and videos this weekend!
What do you think of the first Jurassic World LEGO set to be debuted, LEGO fans? Does this whet your appetite for more man-eating dinosaur fun, or is 75917 Raptor Rampage not all that you hoped for?
when are you gonna show the other sets like the indiminus rex set or the T-rex set.
