Those who follow the Bricks and Bloks Facebook Page know that I’ve been on something of a quest this week. No, it’s not a quest for the LEGO Jurassic World sets–stores seem to be sticking to their guns about the official May 1st release date for those sets. It’s actually some far smaller that I’ve been hunting for–something was surprisingly difficult to find in my area! But finally, I tracked one (well, actually a plethora) down last night: the 30314 LEGO Go Kart Racer set has now raced into stores!
Entire rows filled with the 45 piece Go Kart Racer set awaited me in the Target store, right in the checkout aisles where I had been expecting to discover them. (I haven’t heard of this particular set being stocked anywhere in the store except for the checkout aisles, so be sure to look there and not in the toy department for the City Go-Kart Racer.)
Was it worth spending probably several times the cost of the set in gas hunting the polybag all week? Who knows–but at last, I found the set in stores and lived to tell the tale (and share the photos)!
The LEGO 30314 polybag set retails for $3.99 plus tax (or plus no tax in New Hampshire, of course), and contains 45 pieces. That’s under 9 cents per piece, making the set a superb deal. And hey–you’re basically paying the same amount for a minifigure and a little car as one LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series blind bag costs–now that’s a deal!
The LEGO City Go Kart Racer 30314 polybag set is now available exclusively at Target stores. Typically polybags that start life at Target stores stay Target exclusive, but there have been exceptions to that. But for the moment, the Go Kart Racer polybag set has only been found in Target stores. So if you want one, that’s where to head to to get it!
Have you already or will you be heading to your local Target store to snag one of this very cool little polybag set, racing fans? Is this simple-but-sweet set not exciting enough to earn your four dollars?
