I dropped by my nearest LEGO Store today to see if the rumors I’d heard were true–and they were! Many of the LEGO 2014 sets that have previously only been sighted at the inflated Toys R Us prices have arrived at local LEGO Stores. But that’s not all–there’s something magical at the LEGO Brand Stores as well, something that Toys R Us failed to beat them to the punch on–the entire wave of the LEGO Disney Princess 2014 sets! I took photos of the front and back of each set, and can now confirm the official pricing for all of the 2014 LEGO Disney Princess sets…
As is always the case two weeks out from Christmas, the LEGO Store at the mall was absolute madness today. It was only with a little bit of athletic prowess and a lot of luck that I managed to get close enough to the LEGO Disney Princess winter 2014 sets for long enough to get photos of the fronts and backs of each sets.
Please forgive the quality of the images–the lighting in the LEGO Store isn’t the best to begin with, and I had to fight a mob of people just to take these photos at all.
The list of released January 2014 LEGO Disney Princess sets and their prices and piece counts are as follows:
Disney Princess LEGO Ariel’s Magical Kiss 41053 $29.99 (250 pieces)
Disney Princess LEGO Cinderella’s Dream Carriage 41053 $29.99 (274 pieces)
LEGO Disney Princess Merida’s Highland Games 41051 $19.99 (145 pieces)
LEGO Disney Princess Rapunzel’s Creativity Tower 41054 $39.99 (299 pieces)
41055 LEGO 2014 Disney Princess Cinderella’s Romantic Castle $69.99 (646 pieces)
I was actually a little bit surprised by the price tags on these sets–I was expecting all of them to be a good $5 cheaper than they’re actually priced at, but I guess that’s to cover the no-doubt enormous cost of the Disney Princess licenses.
According to the store employees, these winter 2014 LEGO Disney Princess released sets have been selling like wildfire and flying out of the store. I didn’t buy any, as I’ve already spent a crazy amount of money on LEGOs this month, but I think we all know I may end up with these in the near future anyway (because I just can’t help myself).
Now that you know the prices of the LEGO Disney Princess 2014 sets and you’ve seen the boxes (front and back!), what are your thoughts on this new theme, LEGO fans? Will any of these sets be making their way into your collections?
