If you’re one of the holdouts who’s been waiting for a sale to pick up one of the LEGO Dimensions Starter Packs as a holiday gift for a loved one (or maybe for yourself!), the deal for you has just popped up! The LEGO Dimensions Starter Packs are now available for $69.99 using code “LEGOMOMS”, but to take full advantage of that price, you’ll have to be an Amazon Prime member…
Basically, if (and only if) you’re a member of Amazon Prime, you can take another $15 off the price of any LEGO Dimensions Starter Set, be it for the Wii U, XBox ONE, XBox 360, PS3 or PS4. That brings the price down to $69.99 shipped, which is a much more palatable price-tag than the MSRP of $99.99 that the set launched at in September!
In addition to the video game itself, the Starter Pack contains 269 pieces, as well as three minifigures (Gandalf, Batman and Wyldstyle). At 10 cents per piece, this is about a $27 value, which cuts the price you’re paying for the game itself down to $43! That’s not so bad at all when you look at it that way, is it?
Had I known back in September that these sets would be on sale for 30 bucks off now, I would have been sorely tempted to wait to make my purchase and start the game a few weeks later. Oh well! Live and learn!
For now, if you’re a Prime member (or just want the regular $15 off), LEGO Dimensions is now discounted for all five consoles online. Just remember to enter the code “LEGOMOMS” at the checkout page to get the additional savings if you’re an Amazon Prime member! It’s too late for me to use my original receipt to do a return, but if you haven’t bought yet, now’s a good time to stock up for the holidays!
Anyone planning to take advantage of this sale to pick up their first (or second) copy of LEGO Dimensions? Do you think this is the cheapest that the Starter Kits will get this year, or do you think some stores will beat this price on *shudder* Black Friday?
DONE! awesome! Thank you! Just got it with tax for 76$…. that’s incredible!
Still overpriced compared to Disney Infinity and Amiibos. You’re getting a $15 set of Lego pieces and a game for $70? Disney sets cost only $50 you get the stand and 2 figures, each additional figure is about $12. Amiibos are even cheaper and they are worth more as a collectible item. So I wouldn’t pay more than $30 for a starter set. And each addon should cost no more than $12.
