It is absolutely unbelievable and mind-blowing to me that it’s almost been an entire year since the magnificent LEGO Parisian Restaurant modular building set was revealed, but facts are facts, are the date means one thing for the LEGO modular buildings series: it’s almost time for the 2015 LEGO Modular Building to be fully unveiled! We’ve got a few days until the grand reveal, but over the weekend, we got our first look at the LEGO Detective Agency 10246!

I’ve got a real thing for detectives. If I wasn’t going to be a professional collector, I wanted to be a detective when I grew up. Just like Batman, Scooby-Doo, Lucky Piquel and Detective Conan. So when I heard the rumors begin to swirl during the summer that the LEGO 2015 modular building was going to be a LEGO Detective’s Office, my inner gumshoe heart sprang to life with joy.

We’ve known since the end of September that LEGO would be debuting a major new set on November 21st, 2014, but we weren’t sure exactly what that set was going to be (especially after the LEGO Star Wars Slave I was premiered earlier than expected). But some photos have leaked onto the Internet confirming what main aspiring LEGO detectives had already deduced–that the LEGO 10246 Detective Agency set will be officially revealed by LEGO this week, as well as being displayed at the LEGO VIP Shopping Event this weekend!

Containing 2,262 pieces, the Detective Agency LEGO modular building contains more pieces than the LEGO Palace Cinema, but substantially less pieces than this year’s LEGO Parisian Restaurant. I’d guesstimate $149.99 as the MSRP, but we’ll know the exact price shortly.

I don’t want to go into too much detail describing the 10246 LEGO Modular Building Detective Agency until we get the hi-res, official photos are released, but from a glance at the box, you can make your own first impressions of the detective agency itself, as well as the pool hall below and the LEGO barber shop (awesome!!) next door.

The 10246 LEGO Detective Agency set is expected to be released in winter 2015 (most likely in January 2015). I’ll post a full preview of the LEGO 2015 Detective Agency modular building with the official price and release date once LEGO confirms all of the specifics later this week.
