While most of the summer 2014 LEGO sets have already begun hitting stores in the United States, LEGO Legends of Chima fans are going to have to wait just a little bit longer for the LEGO Chima summer 2014 sets. But not only are there the line-revitalizing LEGO Chima Fire vs. Ice sets to look forward to, but the highly-anticipated LEGO Legends of Chima Character Encyclopedia is now up for order! We’ve been waiting months to find out what the exclusive minifigure would be with the LEGO Chima Encyclopedia, and it does not disappoint–the Chima Phoenix Tribe LEGO Firox Minifigure has now been revealed!
I’ve been in love with the LEGO Legends of Chima theme ever since LEGO began teasing the sets, but I have to admit that even my enthusiasm for the theme had been waning a bit this year, as all of the new sets and tribes released just seemed like more of the same.
Even so, for some reason DK Publishing chose to forgo any of the new summer 2014 LEGO Chima minifigures on the cover of the LEGO Character Encylopedia book, making me worry that collectors would see the book and think it was old or stale.
While other LEGO Chima Phoenix Tribe minifigures will be available in sets later this summer, the Firox LEGO Minifigure will only be available with the LEGO Legends of Chima Character Encyclopedia. With his serious face, bright orange body and contrasting grey goggles, the Chima Firox Phoenix Tribe minifigure is totally awesome and definitely incentive enough to sell me on the necessity of buying this new LEGO Chima book!
Aside from the exclusive minifigure, this book also includes, well… a book. If you’re a Chima fan like me (and if you’re not, why are you reading this?), you’ll probably get a kick out of all of the detailed information and photos in the LEGO Legends of Chima Character Encyclopedia, which has entries for every single LEGO Chima figure and set released contained within its 176 pages.
The LEGO Chima Character Encyclopedia with exclusive Firox Minifigure is now up for order at the discounted price of $14.84 (22% Off!), and is scheduled to be released August 4, 2014. I didn’t have the LEGO Legends of Chima Character Encyclopedia book in my buying plans, but once I saw the exclusive Firox minifigure I was happy to plunk down my future 14 dollars for the book.
What do you think of the LEGO Legends of Chima Character Encyclopedia and Firox LEGO minifigure exclusive pack-in, LEGO fans? Will you be buying this book for your library later this summer?
The name is probably a reference to Firox from Power miners.
Naw, I think LEGO just combined “Fire” and the “-ox” suffix they’re putting at the end of the Phoenix Tribe names to get “Firox”. They probably don’t even know there is a Power Miners Firox! LOL. =D
I have been waiting patiently but my patience is wearing thin. Any idea of when; June(hopefully) July, August- I hope they release soon, I am tired of looking on Amazon UK and wishing we could buy them now but sadly we cannot, they do not allow you to buy from the US. I have to continuously tell my son that is is worth the wait, but he is getting tired of the same old excuses. Any concrete ideas on a release date? Anyone?
OH, and by the way, I am a HUGE fan of the Chima Series, very creative, addictive, and great storyline. I also love the Ninjago Series, but I am not sure why those who love Ninjago seem to despise the awesomeness of the Chima series. Anyhow, I will buy the entire summer series, the new minifig book looks great, I plan on getting it ALL>
