I posted this sale Tuesday morning for followers of the Bricks and Bloks Facebook page (which is why you guys should all ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook, *shameless plug*), but due to popular demand and some questions which have sprung up, I’m going to make a full post for it here on the site. Amazon USA is having a pretty wicked LEGO BOGO 40% (Buy One, Get One 40% Off) Sale this week, and if utilize the sale to its full potential, you can get things like a $75 LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon! Read on for all the details…
Ordinarily, a BOGO 40% off sale is certainly nothing to write home about–except when you take into consideration that most of these sets have already been discounted by Amazon and include free shipping and no tax (in most states). When you take that into account, you can save a lot with this sale.
The sale price will not show up in your cart–you’ll only see the discount applied when you go to the checkout page (but before you actually check out). Also, you can only get one discounted item for order, but because of free shipping, placing multiple orders shouldn’t be a big problem.
Let’s go through a quick example of the math:
The LEGO Star Wars AT-TE 75019 has a retail price of $89.99. On Amazon, it’s currently marked down to a sale price of $59.99. So, if you buy two AT-TE sets, you end up paying $59.99 + $36 ($59.99 * .6) = $95.99 for two LEGO AT-TEs! Basically, you’re getting the second one for just $6 over the regular MSRP for an AT-TE, or paying an average of $48 each for a $90 set. Not bad, right?!
Check out the list of sale items at Amazon USA as soon as you can this week if you’re interested, as I’m certain that many of these sets are going to sell out quickly with this wacky promotion going on this week.
Anyone out there planning on ordering any of these heavily-discounted awesome sets?
Darn, now that I click on the link, all I see are Nerf guns… So sad that my birthday is tomorrow and I missed out on the sale 🙁
😉 At least I got Benny’s SPACESHIP and the Message Intercept Base
You didn’t. The same thing happened to me, but if you look at the pages for some individual sets, you’ll see it under special offers. Newer sets and old ones aren’t eligable, so you’ll have to do some searching.
