Yesterday I posted images and my thoughts on the LEGO Stores Police ATV 30228 promo polybag being given out at the LEGO Stores next month, but today I want to take a step back and look at the whole picture of what’s going on at the LEGO Stores in January 2014. We won’t ring in the new year for another four weeks, but thanks to the January 2014 LEGO Store calendar, we can get an early peek at what next year will have to offer!
Starting the week of January 6 2014, a different exclusive The LEGO Movie poster will be given out with any LEGO purchase from The LEGO Store! I don’t have much wall space (or any space, for that matter) left in my apartment, but I definitely will need to pick up a LEGO Movie Batman poster for my wall. The schedule for when each poster is going to be offered is below–
Week of January 6, 2014: The LEGO Movie Wyldstyle Poster
Week of January 13, 2014: The LEGO Movie Emmet Poster
Week of January 20, 2014: The LEGO Movie Lord Business Poster
Week of January 27, 2014: The LEGO Movie Batman Poster
In addition to the posters, the free January 2014 LEGO Monthly Mini Model Build Snow Plow will be available only on Tuesday, January 7th 2014. I’m always envious of the kids who get to build these sets for free, as they’re typically something really tiny and cute like this LEGO Snow Plow. (And no, the LEGO Store employees will not let adults have a free monthly mini model build set, even if you do ask nicely.)
The back of the LEGO Store January 2014 calendar really doesn’t have much of interest on it, besides ads for the 2014 Brickfair LEGO Fan Festival and the LEGO Maersk Line Triple-E ship launching next month. Also, apparently Connecticut is getting two more LEGO Stores, along with one for Quebec.
What do you think about the January 2014 LEGO Stores calendar of events, LEGO fans? Is there enough happening at your local LEGO Store to bring you out of your home, or is this another ho-hum month for the LEGO Store as far as you’re concerned?
