While we wait for the LEGO Minifigures Series 14 blind bags to hit stores in late fall (and yes, this is the Halloween-themed minifigures set leaked in the winter), blind bag lovers may need something else to tide them over this summer. And coincidentally, one of my favorite movies has its own blind pack figures getting a new series this summer, and they’re starting to hit stores! And with the Mega Bloks Minions Series 3 code number list, you can pull the Minion you want every single time!!

If there’s one area that collecting Mega Bloks blind bags (or sometimes boxes, depending on what country you’re in) is vastly superior to collecting LEGO Minifigures Series blind bags, it’s “ease of collecting”.

While LEGO forces collectors to use arcane methods like feeling up the bags and trying to decipher dots, every MEGA Brands blind box or blind bag has a code printed or embossed on the bag that clearly denotes which figure is inside. As you might have guessed, these codes make buying MEGA Bloks Minions blind box figures infinitely easier and less expensive.

The codes for the Despicable Me Mega Bloks Minions Series 3 figures are as follows:

You’ll notice that this series includes two “special” Minions which are packed at one (or zero) blind boxes per case: a “Mystery Minion” (which is a Bob figure with Teddy Bear accessory) and an “Ultra Rare” Minion (which is a Napoleon Minion holding a sword).

From my experience collecting Halo Mega Bloks blind bags, it’s typically not too hard finding the Ultra Rare figures, but the Mystery ones are often a pain to track down. Hopefully that won’t be the case with this duo.

MEGA Brands typically add more codes for their blind boxes/blind bags once or twice during production, but the code numbers are always unique. So while, say, the Napoleon Minion may have multiple possible code numbers, if you find a box with the code “A02045ES“, you know it’s the Minion Napoleon figure.

As of now, the Minions Series 3 Mega Bloks figures are just beginning to hit stores worldwide, so if you can’t find them in your area just yet–keep looking. And as for the Mega Bloks Minions Series 2 figures–I really have no idea. As far as I can tell, those haven’t arrived anywhere in the world yet. Theoretically we’ll see that series this summer as well.
